I like both the first and second Mad Max films, but I've no intention of seeing the latest. The originals' appeal was their grittiness and general aesthetic, which made it all 'believable'. The Hardy film looks CGI heavy and, like so many modern films, that hinders believability more than anything.

 

For some that isn't an issue. For me it is: I can't enjoy a film if I'm made aware of the fact I'm watching a film too often.

Couldnt be more wrong, they've done all the stunts in this and just made explosions look better etc with CG, as shown by this..

Geroge Miller when making the Mad Max films has always done proper stunt work, this one is no different.

All these people saying Mad Max looks awful, you've either never seen the first or are smoking crack; will be awesome. This isn't Michael Bay nonsense.

Watched it again today, think it improved with a second viewing.

Mad Max trailer is hilarious, makes Transformers look like Oscars bait. There's absolutely nothing in the trailer beyond explosions.

Every one going on like this is January is like when we signed bent. We've agreed a new contract for someone already playing for us and we're in a relegation battle with him anyway. Because its meant to be a kind of throw back, has about half a dozen genres in one and no its not being serious and if turned off after 40mins then you’ve seriously not got it.

I wouldn’t take it seriously the film itself certainly doesn't.
