    "We rebuild"

Nobody should mock this film; it has Alexandra Daddario and her rack in it.

Still not sure, google 'Alexandra Daddario True Detective’ to really improve your Friday.

Not looking great unfortunately, especially as the big tense moment is Prof X going bald and a suit!

Also awkward use of Lawrence just because she’s arguably the biggest star in it; in yet don’t think she’s the biggest character.

For me beating brentford at home would be like winning a friendly, no enjoyment. the premier league is where its at, playing at the big clubs stadium. We wont even be on MOTD anymore, how depressing is that?

Seeing west brom in the league above us for me shows how far we have fallen and I think we will fall even further when we go down

Oooh goody we’re playing a premier league team......... and losing......again.

Football is about enjoyment, not constant depression after another loss ruining my weekend; fed up of it now.

All the teams in the leagues below have fans, they sometimes celebrate when their teams score goals and win games; it doesn’t only happen in the premier league.

get ready for the games against brentford and coventry :(

At least we’ll win and score some goals which might be enjoyable; as we don’t do that in this league anymore.

Football is meant to be enjoyable and constant seasons of naff football and fighting relegation; its about time we go down. Its not guaranteed but hopefully we can get back to winning some games and celebrating some goals.

We will be relegated this season, discussions to the contrary are futile imo.

  5. Jesus that trailer is bad, Zack doing another Sucker Punch it seems.

Whats with the big bloke at the end, seems naff big baddie to throw through buildings; some tell all i’m not bothered by spoilers.

Bet Zack danced around the room when he managed to get a moving shot exactly like the cover of a famous Batman comic.... err that he didn’t design; well done.

Applied for Berlin Marathon ballot and didn't get in, kind've relieved as heart wasn't truly in it. Maybe next year, but will keep occupied with a few runs in the meantime. Andyjsg I assume you get in to VLM with a qualifying time? What time you looking to run in April?

Wouldn’t mind doing the Berlin, flattest marathon you can do isn’t it?

I did the VERY hilly Bristol to Bath marathon in 3.44 so would hope to get under 3.30 on a flat course.

  7. Oh its nice when a new manager arrives all refresh and new, encouraging, happy looking positive upbeat and ready to achieve something.

6 months and he'll look something like this.

    JS75795895.jpg

Desperately trying to get us playing shut up shop football to stop us shipping goals.

Gabby will be back in charge running towards the corner flag and everything will be shit again.

Lambert arrived after doing well bringing a team through the leagues playing fairly decent stuff, few years at Villa the poisoned chalice usually sorts it out.

  8. Every time the camera panned to Remi, he was standing at the touchline, clapping, urging, directing.

Contrast that to Sherwood slouched back in his seat with a big frown on his unshaven mug.

We have a class act manager now, thank ****.

Sherwood did that all the time, then when we were shit he sat down.

It makes zero difference the manager jumping around or not none whats so ever, i never understand why fans lift it up as some type of chalice of importance.

  9. I suppose it boils down to whether you think the current crop of players are actually not completely shit and have just been terribly managed up until this point.

I think they're not as good as most think, but certainly not as shit as they are currently playing, so somewhere in between, hopefully 4th from bottom in between.

The issue is creating a confident environment to win games, moral must terrible and needs to be massively improved for us to have any chance.

  10. And don't forget the psychological battle with yourself, if you push too hard because you've tried to go from 5k to 10k overnight and get injured, the two/three/four weeks off from running will be devastating (in my experience) to your confidence next time you go out. It's hard to start again and find yourself not achieving what you could do before. Earlier this year I got to 11 miles, I had to stop because of an injury and the thought of going out now fills me with dread because I know how far behind I am again

Yup, nothing wrong with being enthusiastic but still be careful, running is a mental thing as well as physical.

I’ve been running 3 times a week for over 5 years and doing the training for a marathon was hard, the actual marathon itself was the hardest thing i’ve done (still want to do another) so don’t take anything for granted. You’ll have good runs and bad runs, you’ll get injured feel too tired or not, the stiffness in the mornings will go its all worth it though :D

Running is highly rewarding yet also very challenging.

Oh one more, don't go over the top stretching before a run. I never stretch before running your likely to do more damage that good, if you want to do some stretching do some after a short warm up.

  11. Cheers all.  Yes, I got an almighty buzz from it, as I cannot overstate just how unfit I was just a month ago, and I'm *almost* starting to look forward to it.  I always find the first 5 to 10 minutes incredibly hard going, but after that I just seem to get in a rhythm (albeit a slow one!) and settle down.  Last night the last 10 minutes were the quickest split I did.  Going to try to consolidate where I am now for the next couple of weeks, then try to step it up towards 10K.  Please keep the advice and comments going as it's incredibly helpful and motivating.

I may be stating the obvious but it got a little ‘easier’ after you got warm, its why you see some people running before a a race to get warm. I do it when want to try and get a good time, as your not starting fresh.

Also nothing wrong with stopping and walking intact i would say its key to improving fitness, interval training is used usually to improve speed. e/g run as fast as you can for a min, walk for a min etc. This can also be used when starting out, run a pace you can manage for a min walk for a min, it will improve your fitness in manageable controlled ways whilst not pushing you too much and getting down you cannot do it. Increase the time your running to walking ratio as it becomes ‘easier’.

  12. So, as I said I started the Couch to 5K a month ago, and tonight I ran for 5.1K.  This may be my last post ever as I'm about to keel over and die, but for the next few seconds before that happens, I feel pretty chuffed with myself.

Well done, did you get a little buzz enjoy it?

If so you might be in danger of getting the bug. Running in the autumn is a great time of year for it.

  13. I have no inside knowledge, not even going to whip out 'apparently' line, either but i have a feeling Gabby seems himself as an untouchable figure down the Villa.

Had numerous bust ups with managers who have subsequently left, picked even when does **** all. He's bound to think he's billy big bollocks isn't he?

I'm not even talking about goals, pointing out lack of goals stats at Gabby is daft, he rarely plays there anymore; its more about he is just not consistent, he shouldnt be starting games its as simple as that.

My heart will sink a little if he continues to start for us under Remi.

  14. Spectre is pretty shit, rips down all the work done to make Craig a 'modern serious Bond' and drags us towards World Is Not Enough, Die Another Day territory.

The 'twist' is all a complete joke, not because of the character because of the reasoning, which makes about as much sense as a chocolate t-pot. Bond going into space was more believable!

Topped off with action scenes that kill any tension or excitement as well.

    Bizarre

  15. Apparently a few of the new signings want out already. This has been reflected in their training performances, Garde I'm suspecting has been bought in to protect the investment made in the summer as it appears that most of our outlay has been pissed away on people that don't like it here. Apparently they are simply not trying and appear to have more than a touch of the CNZ's about them. The club is a mess and i'm starting to wonder what effort the pro Sherwood  bunch are are going to put in with Garde. In terms of staff if Garde is going to win the battle then Parks, Kmac and Cowans will need to go

    Apparently this is absolute bollocks.

  16. I'm still in shock over that lineup.

Unless conveniently all our new players & ones that have done stuff in games did **** all in training all week so weren't picked, yeah right. If thats true then we'll know when the first proper team selection from our new manger is similar.

But a 1 legged rocking horse wouldn't pick Richardson at left back, the bloke is stealing a living along with billy big bollocks Gabby.

  17. His contract is till the end of the season with an option of taking another two terms after it.

    Takes the shine off abit.

Only if there are signs of improvement.

If we’re total shit it would be best for both parties.

It will be annoying if we are clearly annoying but only just go down and he **** off, we’re back to square one.... in the championship.

  18. 5 minute plank! Life's too short for a 5 minute plank! You absolute animal.

YEAH! I'm completely normal by the end not shaking like a shitting dog in the slightest.

  19. And don't underestimate how much yoga or swimming can really complement your running, for the stretching and aches in particular

And the Plank, good for core, got mine up to 5mins because i'm bloody amazing.

  20. This thread is great inspiration. Did my run last night and am walking like the tinman this morning. Did it though, which was the main thing.

Good on you, the more regular you do it, feeling like that the following morning will be a thing of the past.

Haven't been stiff from running in years... until i did a marathon (plug)

Take it easy don't get excited and start running every day, its very rare you can run every day on concrete and not get injured; unless your a pro.
