  1. So I've started running again after about a year out, and I've jumped into it 5 times a week. However, my route is entirely on concrete and my knees are now in pain whenever I walk (or try to run). I suspect it's a case of too much, too soon because I used to run the same route without any pain, only 3 times a week instead of 5. Anyone got any similar experiences?

Running on concrete you should always have a days rest in-between, otherwise your knee’s are going to be screwed. Unless your a lucky bastard and weight about 1 pound.

If you want to run 5 times a week break it up with some off road stuff.

  2. Apparently "Twin Peaks" is coming back to television. David Lynch involved, too. I think it'll be a mistake. The original was so unique, and so perfectly early 1990's, I can't see how it makes sense to do it again, other than money.

I agree Lynch has a real track record of doing things just for money.

  3. As I understand it, it's quite easy to bend the iPhone 6+. I've had loads of phones in situations where I was sure they should snap in half. But it seems other manufacturers design their products to be able to withstand these kind of situations. Apple aren't very good at functional design shown by other problems such as antennagate.

I’ve managed to bend 2 android samsung phones and had numerous iPhones that have never bent.

Perhaps people want it made out of diamond so never bends.

2?! What do you do with them?

Put them in my pocket and sit down.

  5. Vince Vaughn is the other lead for next season's True Detective.

    Vince.

    Vaughn.

Not confirmed he’s the lead, could be Taylor Kitsch who was very good in Friday Night Lights.

Don’t forget both McConaughey & Harrelson were hardly pulling up trees before being cast in the first series, both were on a lull.

  6. Okore should be in instead of Baker.

A 90% fit Okore is better than Baker.

Yeah he’s been out for almost a year and not played a full 90mins yet, lets risk a relapse shall we.

I think Lambert and the medical team know more than the fans.

  7. Amy Lewis on SSN.

    She fills that top well.

This is unfair. Getting the house decorated so no TV for me :( I'm gonna miss out on Jim white and Nat Sawyer :(

Sawyer should be on now not Mcqueeen, as she’s clearly the best totty on Sky.

  8. I hope theres not going to be too much presure on him when hes come back even though im am exicited about him playing again!

Of course there will be, if he isn't scoring immediately then people will be saying 'Lambert should have sold him' or 'should have signed a striker' or something along those lines. That is football.

It will be the rushed back too quickly as well as him stealing some kids sweets.

  9. Deary me, so many of you have been brainwashed by the media and United fans Cleverly bashing.

He has a lot of ability, if he signs I believe it will be a similar level signing (quality wise) as Downing was.

No we really haven't. This thread is full of people labelling other fans who think Cleverly is awful as "jumping on the bandwagon".

Is it really that difficult to comprehend that people have watched Cleverley play and think he is a poor player?

Cleverley gets "bashed" because he has been a complete non entity at premiership level.

I will support him as soon as he puts on the shirt and I hope to God he plays well for us and turns his career around but you can only form an opinion on what he's done before. And what he has done before is perform badly.

If we sign him for 8m and 50k a week that is appalling value for money based on his track record. But unfortunately a sign of the times.

Villa fan in thinking players never improve at different clubs shocker.

  10. we know we've barely got a pot to piss in, so spending what little we do have on yet another fairly average CM seems a tad bonkers

    Do we?

Have the club released a detailed statement what we can and cannot spend?
