He’s arguably their best player and they’ve taken him off after 45mins in a huge match.
Me thinks something is afoot!

Happy he played well! Maybe we can more than 10 million for him in the summer
Not happening yet. He’s been tied down to a long term deal. The club want to see how he develops. He’ll get another 12 months in the championship and then we’ll decide whether to sell or keep.

West Ham lol. Aside from the fact they’re in London, there isn’t a single thing they can offer Guendouzi that we can’t.

Just watching Bristol City v West Brom. Alex Scott looks a cut above. He reminds me a little of a young Grealish the way he keeps the ball close and has really good balance.
He’s going to be some player.
He’s excellent isn’t he. They want a lot of money for him. It’s a big gamble for a club to be spending £25m on him when they can get someone similar abroad for half the price. V good prospect though.

Crook is fairly reliable I think. Not sure there’s much in it still. Can’t see Leeds wanting to sell either.

Jack Harrison don't strike me as an Emery type signing. Surely not true.
Why? (Discounting opinion on ability) Very hard working wide attacking player who can play on either side. I thought that’s exactly what we were after!
Harrison > Bailey/Buendia.

I’ve always thought Jack Harrison looked decent against us.

Is Zaniolo a player we should be looking at? Looks like he’s got some decent attributes and a position we could use.

He has been linked for the last 10 days or so
Fairly tenuous links though I’d say. Nothing really concrete.

I love your obsession with this one, I have no idea who this kid is but you have made me want to sign him.
Delphinho always brings the party.

This is going to be one of those Duran type signings if it goes through. Very little noise then BANG.
’Aston Villa can today confirm they’ve reached an agreement...’
Bring it on.

As exciting as this one would be based on his potential, you’d have to imagine that Milan will be the ones who sign him. I mean… it’s Milan..
I’m afraid the days of the Italian ‘giants’ being able to outmuscle even mid table PL clubs is over. The PL is the Super League. Villa can offer his club more money and pay him a higher salary.

If he’s as bad as Buendia, hells yeah I will

Everyone needs to remember a few things about Duran:
- MLS is in the middle of their offseason right now and he most likely isn't match fit
- MLS to the Premier League is like going from League 1 to the Prem, the pace is ridiculously fast and will take a while to adapt to
- He's only 19... If he doesn't come off the bench and start banging in goals like Haaland doesn't mean he's a flop
- It'll most likely take at least a full season under Emery and in England for him to get adjusted to the country, the style of football, and the pace of the Prem
Definitely. Can’t see him playing much this season. A good 8 months training with the team though and maybe a few minutes off the bench will hopefully mean he’s ready to play more of a part next season.
I still think we’ll go big on a striker in the Summer.

He needs a decent run of games before any decision can be made.
He's hardly played this season so far !
He’ll get another season out on loan after this one. He needs to play a full season at a championship club and get himself 20+ goals.

I’d be so happy with this signing. Not because he looks good in his videos, or even because of his age (which is a bonus), but because it shows we’re actually doing some serious scouting and we’re being well run behind the scenes. I’ve long criticised our transfer policy and the way we seem to randomly adjust it dependent on the manager. This, along with the Duran signing, shows we’re looking more to the future and trying to put together a more balanced squad. Expansive, quality additions like Guendouzi, mixed in with some prodigious young talent for a more reasonable transfer fee. The upside long term could be huge.
This just feels like the type of signing Man City or Brighton would make. Of course, it could all be guff and made up nonsense but I really hope it’s true.

This is the kind of signing that gets me frothing at the quim.

He was quicker running with the ball than Bailey is without it.
