There isn’t a hope in hell Tim is ever going to be good enough for the level we want to be at.

He got one more vote in the Man of the Match poll than Olsen. He was out of his depth taking terrible shots from everywhere
Olsen was decent too

If we had a fully fit Ramsey, Buendia and Diaby, who would start? (Assuming Waka Waka and Oli are starting)
Erm, Ramsey obviously.

Yes, he struggled vs Stevenage
Was one of our better players that day.

Get him gone.
Konsa and Torres aside, we need a whole new set of defenders. Mings coming back as good as he was before can’t be relied upon.
LB, RB, CB needed.
They have to have pace. If we’re going to play that slow coach Torres, we need to mask how weak his defending is with pace surrounding him.

Define credible ?
Im the shitest in the know ever you’ll ever meet but an old work colleague from OUFC now works for Wasserman Group. We are a very tight lipped outfit with NDA’s etc used and I only hear from him what’s he’s heard from other clubs of our interest and enquiries or players we didn’t sign. Never anything concrete about us from our side. We don’t leak anything unless it’s controlled and benefits us.
I know Mateta almost joined us before injury a few seasons ago, that Jonathan David has been a target for years, we held talks about signing Mykolenko before he went to Everton. None of this is credible as it didn’t happen but it’s from a fixer at a large agency. Not sure what my point is but basically it’s a minefield what’s credible and what isn’t in this age of attention seeking ITk on Twitter or clickbait journalists.
Christ, you sound like that fraud ‘Villareport’.

Fantastic news. I wonder if any of it was down to the board selling players this Summer from underneath him.

For me, Luiz will be the one to go if we have to sell somebody. I’d love Ramsey to stay. Him and Rogers battling it out on the left would be superb. Throw Baena into the mix and that allows Rogers to play a bit further forward.
Tantalising.
Id sell Luiz in a heartbeat if somebody offered £70m+ for him.

Could Bissouma be a canny signing like, reports today suggest Spurs might be prepared to let him go for the right offer, along with Forster, Lo Celso, Hojbjerg, Rodon, Spence, Regulion, Sessegnon, Davies, Emerson, Ndombele, Gill, Solomon, Richarlison, and Skipp

Looks like Carlos and Duran will be leaving this summer.
Anybody else ‘high profile’? I assume Digne and Cash too. Still think Luiz will leave.

My worry with Barkley isn't his footballing ability, it's his athleticism and pace.
His technique and ability can't be questioned. They're top notch and probably always have been.
My worry is we're starting to put together a squad that lacks pace and energy. Tielemans and Barkley are both great footballers but they lack energy. It's why I liked the Gallagher links because I believe he brings an energy we lack in the middle of the pitch. Even Kamara and Luiz can be pedestrian at times (again, ability not in question).
I hope we procure some athleticism at some point. Like me. In my prime.

We're padding out the squad. I am all for it. If Ross Barkley is our new Calum Chambers, then that is a helluva'n upgrade.
Gallagher next please. We'll have some serious options in central midfield then. (I still see Luiz leaving).

Not at all surprising.
He's been very 'meh' this season. For such a strong bloke, he very rarely uses his physicality. Feels like he should be so much better than he is given his physical qualities. His fee and wages are likely to be a stumbling block.

Got to say i was disappointed how duran and watkins played together yesterday
They didnt play well together and were getting frustrated with one an other.
TBH, that might say more about Watkins than it does about Duran.
For whatever reason, and for all his good points, Watkins has always struggled to play in a 2 up top.

I see no evidence he’s given up on Tim. Not sure where this narrative has come from
You haven't seen the fact he is used sparingly, even during an injury crisis, where players are playing out of position and he's still not getting a game?
You've missed that bit?

We need pace at full backs. Digne has had a good season, but to go up a level, we need quick full backs. Especially if we’re planning on playing Torres in the back line.
-
3 very good chances now.
