Yes, I am aware of this, can we not have both? We’d be set for the next few years at centre back
United have said they want Tuanzebe on there pre season tour I think.

You think Dawson is better than Axel?
You do remember Axel isnt our player yeah? There's a much higher chance of Mings being here next season than Axel I would think.

Worst case scenario: we lose on Tuesday, get knocked out to West Brom, we lose Abraham, Kodjia and Hogan will leave too. Who do we sign to replace them? I’d struggle to name better than Gary Hooper
So you would pin your hopes on a 31 year old plodder like Gary Hooper. Wow. Luckily we have scouts who I'm sure would come up with a much better solution than him! If he's not good enough for Steve Bruce why on earth do you think he's good enough for us?!

Why do you think he’s rubbish? Wherever he’s been in his career, he’s scored goals, I’d take him on a free if we’re still in The Championship next season
Why can't you understand that we're trying to move away from signing exactly that sort of player. 30+ with his best years behind him. No no no! We want younger players with lots of potential.

horses for courses. Baggies at home full house roaring you forward and opposition with pensioner Brunt in centre mid with his zimmer frame, and you go with Whelan? ridiculous decision.
Hourihane was a shoe in.
Smith should come out and say he got it wrong.
So the guy who is a professional football manager should come out and say he got it wrong because a total nobody like you disagrees with the decision that he made? Okie doke

Ironically the 2nd leg is now probably a game he SHOULD play in. West Brom will have to attack us so we could probably do with someone mopping up in front of the defence.

You seriously find these teams good?
Can you point out where i said i think they're good?

I just think Hourihane is a much better player man. Team looked transformed when we made the change.
I accept that Whelan can do a job against the pub teams of Championship, but don't play him against half decent sides with pace in their team.
Whelan started against Derby, Middlesborough, Birmingham, Blackburn, Sheff Weds, Bristol City, Bolton, Millwall. We beat all of those teams and there are a mixture of shit teams and teams who try to play. He deserved a chance today and yeah maybe he made a mess for there goal but he was definitely worthy of a start today. Hindsight is a wonderful thing.

Looked 10 times better when Conor came on.
Whelan has been superb for the last 2 months, makes 1 mistake and now should never play. If anyone was going to say something so stupid it was always going to be you, thank you for not disappointing

Hope not. Best to keep things sharp. If our players are rested, thats 13 days without a game. 6-7 days is plenty of rest for professional footballers.
Look how fresh McGinn was after his 2 match suspension. Elmo puts some mileage in during games. I think 13 days would do him good before one last push.

Taylor and Elmo have been playing decent - does not get back in the team for me
I think Smith will rest Elmo for the Norwich game and give Hutton one last game for us.

I thought if the player got booked that the EFL don't bother with the incident because they deem that the referee dealt with it?

Yep.
And when you consider Elmo was playing like shit at that time and Chester was injured/out of form, it seems amazing they didn't beat us by a few more!
Can't help but feel sorry for Elmo. He was playing in a defence where he was one of 3 rb's. It's not hard to see why he was so ropey for a few games. He's been a very solid player for us since he signed. (Sorry off topic)

I've always said that the problem with Suliman would always be his physical side. I've seen him play a few times and he doesn't look like he's grown physically. You look at a player like Tuanzebe and he looks strong, Suliman looks far too slight to be a centre back.

I disagree with this. Yes Taylor has been better but imo both flanks will need a massive overhaul should we go up. El Ghazi would be the only player I would retain in the current squad. The right FB coming in from France maybe a solution but RM and LB require longer term solutions of a higher quality. Hause may step up but I would still look at other options. Ming's would be staying at CB if we managed to hold onto him. Taylor would get destroyed in the prem.
I was only referring to keeping Taylor if we're still in the Championship next season. If we go up he definitely needs to be replaced.

Obviously our transfer windows will be completely different depending on how the season ends. But if we stay in this league our biggest signings will be trying to keep hold of Grealish and Mcginn. I think if they can be convinced we are going to have a realistic crack at top 2 they might give us another year.
Then we need to sign Mings, Hause and El Ghazi. We need a new LB, a new DM, probably another winger and another striker unless we secure Abraham for another year.
I know FFP and all that but I say F**k FFP. It’s been a convenient excuse for owners that have no money not to spend for too long. Purslow says we have money to spend and I believe him.
We’re going to be in the Premier League either next season or the one after. I’m convinced of that.
If we stay in this league for next season then you could argue Taylor would be ok at left back. He's really stepped up over the last 6 weeks.

If we go up, we need to keep the spine of the team, whether that be on loan or by buying the players in question.
If we go up and do this, I think we'd have a great chance of really pushing on in the prem if we could add 3/4 premier league quality players.------------------Abraham------------------
?-----------------Mcginn-------------------?
--------------Grealish--?-------------------
?----------Mings-----Tuanzebe-------?
-----------------------?--------------------------
Might be difficult but those players above are winners and fighters.
UTV.We've signed Guilbert to play RB.

They're both multi billionaires, I don't think it will have been worth there while to sell the club for an extra 40/50 million each. Makes no sense whatsoever.
