The guy on twitter who claims to be from club who started his account yesterday....and backed up ALL the ITK on Lambert that was flying about... I have to say has been absolutely spot on with what he's posted so far.... He's just tweeted the following - "Deal should be wrapped up this evening or tomorrow at the latest. Villa have acted proficiently and prudent throughout" and bits earlier as well........... Right, I am NOT ITK and not 100% sure how reliable this is (although the guy worships Benitez!) but I've been informed he is in Madrid on holiday so that looks like it could be a no go.

I'm even hearing that we've made an illegal approach for Lambert. Can't imagine this is true with how Lerner has dealt with other dealings. Even Whelan and Leeds bloke said how professional we were and wish other clubs went about their business like AVFC.

How many times does it need to be said... NO TO ROBERTO DI MATTEO. I don't care if he won the FA Cup and Champions League. He inherited a good squad which we DO NOT have and used negative tactics. There are better candidates out there and I would be extremely disappointed if he was appointed.

After the public ho-ha of the last approach, do you blame them? Plus I think after that rebuff they now know about as much as we do. Remember last year? For all I know we could be talking to Shearer To be fair to MM, I don't remember him ever saying we were nailed on to get OGS.

I DO NOT WANT ROBERTO DI MATTEO! Yes, he has achieved well at Chelsea but he inherited a very good squad. We don't have that here at Villa and we need someone who can come in and rebuild the team. he most definitely NOT the man. From what I hear, WBA fans and players did not like him and Chelsea players also weren't a fan of him but was an improvement on AVB who had the task of trying to get rid of the old guard. Now OGS has been ruled out I suppose I would settle for Lambert or Martinez. If we struggle to get those then Domingos Paciencia, AVB or Rafa Benitez (although I think he'd require a huge war chest!) So in order for me... * Lambert * Martinez * Domingos Paciencia * Rafa Benitez * Villa Boas

Not until Friday according to the Telegraph "Di Matteo is due to fly to Barbados on Friday" I would NOT be happy if Di Matteo was appointed!
