I'd rather win nothing over the next 4 seasons and have respectable league placing but seeing the club move forward than winning any silverware! I just don't think AM is the man to do this. We need our squad to be rebuilt and youth to be pushed through.. I'm just not condifent in his abailities to do that whils tplaying attractive football.

If AM is appointed, then I will be extremely dissapointed knowing there were better options out there. I won't stop supporting the Villa but I will probably lose interest in them like the O'Dreary days. I will still be interested to see their results, league position, signings etc.. but how we can appoint a manager who has been relegated twice and from our closest rivals is unbelievable. I don't and won't believe that McCleish will be our manager until I read it on the Official Site. Aston Villa and Lerner keep things that close to their chest that I honestly don't believe the media havea clue what's going on and know as much as the guy next door! Time to cheer Sven and the Leicester boys on

No-one knows who else has been interviewed behind closed doors. That's all it is, an interview. This does not guarentee AM the job. Fingers crossed we have a better candidate lined up but I won't believe it until I see it on the OS.

Tbh, I honestly think we have Moyes and are waiting until July 1st when Hughes becomes free so that Everton can also announce the appointment to prevent an uproar from fans. MysteryMan has hinted at it and Villa_Insider who got the Houllier appointment right also strongly believes it. I hope I'm not wrong!
