waiting for a delivery from DHL
16:53 I receive an email to say we've delivered your parcel and its been signed for by Lesley
well that bit could be true , but they don't work here , nor do we have a warehouse which is in the delivery proof picture you took and sent me
there is an estate on the back of us so I wandered around there , found a company that has a shutter door so tried my luck
someone answered and said nope they didn't' receive any DHL delivery today , now as he's talking to me right behind him is a bright orange trolley type thing with a blue and yellow bucket thingy on top of it
Its EXACTLY the same as the one in the picture DHL sent me when they said they delivered my parcel
I've put it back in the hands of DHL but i guess this bloke decided he really wanted 40 packets of Albert Heijn Paprika crisps from the Netherlands
if DHL don't rectify it on Tuesday , i guess I'm gonna have to go around there and torch his building or kill his first born child or something , that seems a proportional response to his theft ..right ?

Just got back thanks to the **** shutting the m25 at my junction with no advance warning and having to detour
hindsight Carlos should have played as a more physical defender Against their forward
two games in a row where Doug has not been at it , I’ve not seen replays yet so don’t know if the penalty against him was a harsh one or not , but as much as anything it came from a corner that either should have been a goal kick or Lenglet should have dealt with , but the one he missed seemed to be caused by Diaby **** around on the edge of the area as much as anything ?
if we’d had this official v Lille Martinez would have emerged from the two legs without a single card He wasn’t as bad as the Lille ref but he wasn’t far off it
but , they’ve had their cup final and a trip to Villa Park , the fat lady maybe well be warming up but the tie isn’t over yet

Not seem him enough to know about his ball retention and passing skills and if he would suit the Emery way but Palhinha from Fulham would tick the box for the DM roles ... imagine being hunted down by him and Kamara !!
might be too expensive though as he signed a new deal after this Munich transfer fell through , that said I'd be surprised if his agent didn't get a release clause put in the new contract

I see dreary Mark Lawrenson thinks he’s been sacked because of the BBC woke agenda, what with him being a white male.
Nothing to do with him being an awful depressing pundit.
Had every single white pundit been " fired" maybe he'd have a case , but clearly they just got rid of the shit ones.
In 2022 , 43 % of players in the premier league were black , even allowing for language issues , I'd kinda expect Ex-player pundits to be representative of that rather figure rather than the population of the UK when selecting a panel of experts.
Football has evolved , its only natural that pundits evolve too .. Ashley Williams who appears from time to time seems a natural in the role and more engaging than someone like Lawrence , I know he's not everyone's cup of tea but Micah Richards always makes me chuckle ,even if his football brain isn't as good as someone like Ian Wrights , but its also an entertainment business , and Richards certainly does that

Why the “10 year passport” thing has become a major news story… and why so many idiots are being caught out?
Travel is my hobby so I'm up to date on visa requirements etc so I guess it would be easy to rule my eyes every time I hear about this but tbh some people just don't travel much and maybe don't follow the news as much so its not a thing for them ...
My parents hadn't flown since Covid and were due to go to Mauritius in Jan this year and out came the passport and whilst valid it would have fallen foul of the 10 year rule , but as Mauritius isn't in the EU it was fine , so she renewed it after they came back ... she'd checked the passport well in advance I should add , not as the taxi pulled up to take them to the airport , but she'd read that some people were waiting months for passports and didn't want to send it away and risk it not coming back in time ( fwiw I renewed mine and my daughters last year and we got them back in under a week )

Perhaps we should take Ireland back.
I wonder if ancestory.com would overload with Irish people trying to find a French grandmother so they can stay European

I never once got the impression he was any sort of wily political operator. He just always looked like he was about to cry.
didn't he win via the Starmer process .. I.e he was slightly less bat shit than the other candidates ?
presumably , those other bat shit candidates will now be the only options going forward , so Scotland will see if they can break the Tory party monopoly on changing leaders as often as a northerner has a bath

It seems the word on the Surry streets was right
you know how it is , Surrey gets its news via the internet , the rest of England still gets it via carrier pigeon

Young, hungry player with def aptitude.
I'd much prefer him as a squad option compared to Zaniolo etc.
But maybe that's not enough for him.
yeah , wasn't that the reason he left , he wanted to play and was happy enough to drop down a league in order to do so
coming back to get the occasions minutes here and there doesn't seem to be what he wants ?

What a shitshow, without knowing too much, it has the feel of having been so avoidably self inflicted.
To abandon a point of policy difference which was so obviously going to split an alliance, just very odd politicking.
I would suspect it wil now be a lurch away from progressive stuff to fight toe to toe on ground that didn’t need fighting over.
on the drive to work this morning , on radio 5 live the commenter from Scotland said that the greens were going to rip up the Bute agreement anyway , but he decided to pre-empt them and do it instead .. But , as its a foreign country and my political knowledge of it isn't that great , I don't know if it was a trap they set and walked into it or if it would have still ended in the same outcome or not

We need a player like Gallagher but not him.
I was thinking earlier all be it they play different sides of the pitch that Brennan Johnson cost Spurs £48m and Roger’s cost us around £8m (plus add ons)
they are kinda similar players , both are good players but to get one for £8m is the way to do it
Gallagher would cost way more than he’s worth and I’m sure we can find some as good / better for way less

Had a a very friendly hug with Pochettino before the game. I reckon there was something in those rumours in January.
would I be right in thinking Jackson played under Emery at Villarreal? for our style of play , he might be a better fit than Duran , maybe some form of swap deal if they really want him and Duran wants to swap our bench for theirs
I know he’s been ridiculed a lot but I actually think there is a player there in Jackson , he just needs to be coached correctly and taught to slow down with his decision making

Sadly we can’t play Arsenal every week and We struggle against a certain style of play , look how Chelsea fought for every ball whilst our players tried to dribble their way out of trouble , a stronger ref would probably have given us a load more fouls today but when the ref will only give fouls that involve using a machete teams with a certain style of play seem to know how to counter us
He needs a dark arts player in that midfield for next season to go with the slick passing midfield he’s building

He does things at his pace and when we win he looks like a quality player , but when we have to scrap he looks like the wrong choice
To be honest he looks like the City player that Pep always thought he would be and would suit them perfectly , if they make us a big offer and we can replace him with 2 or 3 Rogers type signings for his position I wouldn’t be against cashing in
but I’d rather keep him

I’d expected a response from Chelsea so thought we’d get nothing tonight , so on 1 hand it’s a point gained
but from 2-0 , it does go down as 2 points dropped , still a result away for seeing off Spurs I think
think the players had too many eyes on Thursday today , lot of pulled out tackles , Tim seemed to be the only one prepared to put his foot in
ollie needs that 20th goal and then I think he will relax a bit
my Chelsea mates going mad on WhatsApp, if they can’t see that nudge on Carlos as being anything but a foul then football isn’t the sport for them , I wasn’t remotely concerned when it when in as it was obviously going to be chalked off

Alas vanity and me not taking my glasses with me when I go out
not had any alcohol at all this year so far , the health problems kinda turned me off it , I seem to be 100% now so I’ll probably have a beer soon , hopefully in Athens around the 28th May

We have one generic group called old clearings in the woods for sharing jokes , boobies and stuff but I like to be organised so every specific event gets its own thread , so if arranging a gig , add the people we think might be interested , then remove the ones that say no , delete group few days after gig has ended so you don’t end up with 608 of them.
