I no longer really believe we would benefit from playing the Collins-Dunne combo. I do recognize, though, that I earlier was in favour of starting these two. But now, I'd rathergive Cuellar the chance perhaps with Clark alongside. Dunne clearly has no intention of staying for the next season (and I don't think I want him - especially seeing the disrespect for the claret and blue), and seems to just want it overwith. Rarely have I seen such lack of fighting spirit and ambition. If GMac really is going to play a weakened side, I welcome it! There is no reason to play the 'regulars' since there's nothing to gain momentum to.

I like the way you think! Definately with you on this one. At this point we need to give other players than our "usuals" (as if we had any this season) a chance. Giving Delph a game and maybe bringing on Albrighton later would be a good idea. Still see us loosing this one though, I'd say 4-2 with Bent bagging one midgame and Delph hammering from the distance late.

Could be a good purchase - certainly if Ash leaves - but I reckon our backs are in a greater need for an upgrade.. When Walker returns to Tot, we need some to pick up and we need someone who can make the runs he does to tie together defence and offence.. We need players in the back four who aren't afraid to hold onto the ball

I'd say more importantly we need to play with two strikers, both Bent and Gabby. Only having Bent as the lone striker is making us incapable of controlling and dominating the possession-game since Wigan will too easily shut Bent down. Having both Bent and Gabby will enable us to hold onto the ball better. Furthermore I think it's quite important to signal our intent for a win. We cannot be pleased with a draw, on that I totally agree with steve-67! Go for the win Villans! Friedel Walker, Cuellar, Dunne, Young Downing, NRC, Petrov, Young Gabby, Bent Have Downing play full throttle for 60 min. and sub for Albrighton. Likewise with Petrov and put on Makoun instead.

That's perhaps the most worrying. If Houllier & the gang not only manages to **** up this season, but throws our general domination of the region overboard by forcing talents to find other futures, rendering us useless in many seasons to come.

A massive disappointment.. I'm very concerned with the lack of ambition and almost absent willingness to fight. There were very few glimpses of anything positive to take from this match. And why wasn't Albrighton brough on earlier? I think this management team greatly underestimates the effect of having local players on the pitch for this kind of derby. I'm not for discarding managers/management teams endlessly, but I think at some point you have to come to the conclusion that this simply doesn't work. We need another overall strategy than the one provided by Houiller and the gang

I'd like to see Albrighton start. Derby like this is just different when you're from around and hopefully that could boost for a performance. Downing has been doing well recently, though, so maybe a half each?
