I think Jhon Durán will go on to be a very good player; the signs are already there.
Ok he needs to work on his mental application perhaps but I'd rather he fulfills that potential with Aston Villa.
I think if he goes to Chelsea or another English team it would be to the detriment of Aston Villa, he'd come back to haunt us.

Fully stand by what I said. It's money-grubbing bullshit and you well know it. Subjectivity has nothing to do with it
It doesn't really bother me at all, there are more important things to worry about.
You don't like it fine. That's IS your opnion based on your feelings hence often referred to as subjective.

But is it not more likely just going to be something nice for fans to buy? We release a dearth of crap leisurewear and training gear each year, and it's always rubbish. A commemorative 4th kit, whatever that means, at least sounds like something I might be interested in buying
Yes I prefer to take an objective look, it's a business too this football world.
A fourth kit would be a new idea to commemorate our 150th year, it's a wonderful moment for the club and the fans.

Barkley would be a more reliable Zaniolo, and that's what we need next season.
On his current form he's also not far off the England squad, Barkley could definitely come to Villa and be a consistent performer.

JFC. As excited as I am for Adidas, no club on earth needs a **** 4th kit.
It's a commemorative year so it's feasible; whether you like it or not is purely subjective.

I saw something earlier regarding a fourth kit this coming season to commemorate our 150th year.

I'd love Villa to get that dirty horrible team from Glasgow and give them a hiding like we did Hibs.
I've known so many of their fans over the years and they absolutely disgust me; they genuinely think they are the most important team on the planet.

Those of you that work, or have worked, in China - What do you do if you don't mind me asking?
There have been a few opportunities to work in APAC through my current employer, and I'm quite tempted, but it's not really a world I've ever ventured into before.
It will be my first time working in China from June, I will be teaching English at a Private School in Nanjing.
Previously I have been visiting there many times since 2003, I am fascinated by the country.
19 hours ago, Pongo Waring said:Going to China for 10-12 days. What is the best places to go for a first timer? Is Beijing and Shanghai enough?
Possibly because 10-12 days is not that long and China is a massive country. If you have longer places like Hainan, Hong Kong, Taishan, Xinjiang, Anhui, Guilin and Yunnan are wonderful places to visit but you would need literally several weeks.
When in Beijing the parks are wonderful, Forbidden City is a must and around Tiananmen Square are interesting places. Jingshan Park is the back of the Forbidden City and the view at the top of the hill overlooking Beijing is wonderful. Beihai Park is also nice. If you have time, try to visit the Great Wall at Simatai or Jinshanling as there are less people, last time I was there for half a day and we saw literally five or six people.
Many people don't like Beijing because it is very Westernised and the air quality is still one of the poorest in China because of the industry.
Shanghai is Nuts, so many people. Zhujiajiao water town is on the outskirts of Shanghai and worth a visit, it is an ancient and very beautiful little place, great food, museums and shops but can be very busy at the weekend.
For Shanghai itself the Bund is interesting as it the Light Show at night, the Yu Garden and the Old Town is great but again always VERY busy. I really love the Waldorf Astoria on the Bund and its Long Bar, elegant and like you are in a time warp.
Have a great time!

Yeah I saw the video and I smiled when he said that; why because he's right.
Most fans are expectant, nothing wrong with what he says. But also it can be a back-handed compliment too. It depends on how you want to take it really.

Must admit I do like the guy...
It's frustrating for him and of course the fans.
As much as we may or may not like him unfortunately for him next season Villa really need reliability within the squad.

I'm liking it. The AV150 mark's not perfect, but I got that nostalgia feeling with it too. Also reminded me of Cadbury's. Things are going in a really good direction imo, especially considering the pessimism surrounding Heck early on
Agreed, the AV150 is a little off but it's a good idea.
@DaoDeMings great username

Oooh, Sky commentators talking about us during a Spurs v City game.
Gary Neville is always pretty positive about the Villa, he understands our importance and often says Villa Park is his favourite stadium.

Just as the match kicked off the imbecile commentator said: "Villa slipped up last night which gives Spuds belief".
Really?
London biased f***

Looks like there’s some new branding at the end of season awards tonight in the cursive style of the AV150 ‘mark’. I can see a ‘Villans’ and ‘Villa Park’ mark I haven’t seen before. Wonder if these will be used on other branding and products?
It's interesting, I'm feeling a little nostalgia with the design of these new brandings.
Must admit I'm liking it so far, I love the new designs on the brickwork at Villa Park.

If Villa sell:
Olsen, Dendoncker, Hause, Digne, Archer, Chambers surely that helps out immensely with any FFP worries?
If we qualify for CL there is no way we sell Luiz.

What the buy price? If it's about £15 mil I'd get him tbh
If he was constantly fit then yes as he has shown some quality; the injuries have not helped him find consistently; much like Bailey previously under Gerrard.
I don't think Villa sign him now with these constant injury problems.

Brutal..
Spuds fans seems to be a bit like SHA fans...
A bit deluded...

I must admit I actually LOVE Diego Carlos Santos Silva.
Yes he has some dodgy moments but don't all defenders at times? More often than not he's immense, quick decisive, strong on the ball and his passing is excellent; third highest of any Villa player.
I hope he stays next season, we will need him.
-
Credit where it's due, Chambers helped us in the last part of the game.
Some nice touches, passes and added some control to our play.
In hindsight based on that performance Villa really needed him against Olympiacos (I don't think he was in the Europa Squad List).

I agree.
It's clean, fresh and defines us as Aston Villa not AVFC (I never really liked that).
The white star and 1874 tones pretty well, yeah I quite like it.
