Dislike the guy but he's done a superb job. They were a mess when he took over.
He's also promoted a lot of youth players, given them time and first team football. Not a lot of managers think about the long term in that way.
Not to mention playing players like Nat Phillips at centre back for long periods.
Smart move to leave on a potential high though, especially with Michael Edwards leaving a while back.

Emi best player. Kamara best outfield. Rest not so great. Get Bailey on at least.

A little bit risky, a club of Liverpools stature should be looking at someone with more success on his CV imo.
Hopefully they don’t look down the M6
I bet he will have a Bundesliga title come May which will be some achievement.

It's gonna be Xabi Alonso for sure, especially now Ancelotti is staying at Real Madrid.

It's a sign we're doing the right thing if Brentford are buying our targets.
Good stuff.
Have they actually recruited that well since being promoted though? Their recruitment was better in the Championship. Albeit I like Hickey.

You are spot on there Raya won’t be coming back sadly for me,Flekken has been a poor signing and was lucky Saturday when he was flat footed again when 2 shots just went just past the post with him well beaten. As good as your first goal was he never even dived for it even though the shot was outside the pen area.He will be number 1 keeper by the end of this season.
In a similar vain in how odd it was we were interested it's odd you are too. His highlighted flaws are his ability with his feet which are critical to your style given why you signed Raya and later Flekken.

I know, I go on about height.....in certain positions is the caveat, my critics conveniently leave out.
I would love Netto or Jota.
I'm more of a Kwik Save fan.

Douglas Luiz, Ollie Watkins, John Duran, John McGinn, Jacob Ramsey, Moussa Diaby and Nicola Zaniolo are also abominations of footballers.
Obviously missed by quite a few but you obviously said this as McBurnie soon scored after the original post. So the hope being they all score next game.

Some interesting posts The 3 points was the main target although an exciting game the quality of football on display was like being back in the Championship. Both teams missing some key players so not unexpected and could have gone either way in truth. Will be interesting when we meet in April as we should have the likes Mbeumo Hickey Norguaard Schade Wissa available. Its quite laughable Forrest fans crying about cheating.
Huge win for you and should give you some confidence going forward. Second season was always going to be difficult for you.
Don't worry I'm sure you will be much more likeable when Maupay and Toney inevitably leave although I guess Mee will be around a while.

The whole aura of him returning makes a mockery of why he's been out so long. Which was a serious offence in which he fully deserved the ban. You don't see this much clamour or attention on a player who has been out injured for over 6 months.

Olsen is better than Turner.

Awaiting for JPB to be mentioned by someone. Rogers isn't injured every month is all I'll say.

Morocco should coast this competition.

If we sign him can we just call him Kos.
-
Draws and the odd win are fine away as long as we keep winning at home.

Strange, I thought he was decent. Held it well and the better of their centre backs. The service to him was just poor.
Me too he led the line well.

The best thing today was no players coming out of it with a broken leg.
-
In terms of decisions and overall risk to player safety that was one of the worst refereeing performances I've seen. He was the same against Brentford too.

This prick referee needs to stop letting reckless lunges go and maybe he can then control a game. Disgrace just like he was at Brentford.
-
The amount of reckless lunges Everton are making we will be lucky to escape the game with no injuries.
Typical Dycheball

Shouldn't Tarkowski get booked for drawing blood?

Nkunku missing today, he's potentially their best player
You'd be crazy to bet on them, for or against, they could sneak Europe
Depends when he's back seems to have the Jack Grealish injury prognosis where he's initially out for what seems a small amount of time but every time the manager is asked he's unsure.

I've said it before James Trafford is far too inexperienced for this league. He has no command of the area and if he didn't make such a bizarre decision to come out they wouldn't have scored anyway.
He was nowhere near, it's the last minute of the game if you're not 100% sure you're going to get it stay on your line and trust your defenders.

Looking at replay didn't watch the game, Trafford was in no man's land and nowhere near the ball. If Adebayo didn't block him Morris would have still scored. For that reason I think it's the correct decision.

Diaby has to come off for Bailey.
Moreno has been pretty dreadful as well.
