Ha I went to that 06/07 game in the City end. A non football fan mate wanted to go for the experience and we got cheap student tickets. It was great, the 2nd was a free kick, Maloney maybe.I would be disappointed if it's the usual 4-0 up here.
Hopefully Kompany and Silva are still out for this but Man. City aren't playing well anyway so I'd like to think we'll give them a good game even in defeat.
Think it might be one of those games we take the lead early but Man. City come back and nick late on, maybe 2-1. Won't hurt our GD much at least.
Our prem record since they moved grounds.....
03/04- 4-1 loss
04/05- 2-0 loss
05/06- 3-1 loss
06/07- 0-2 WIN
07/08- 1-0 loss
08/09- 2-0 loss
09/10- 3-1 loss
10/11- 4-0 loss
11/12- 4-1 loss
12/13- 5-0 loss
13/14- 4-0 loss

" Lovely scenes " at Reading
You couldnt make it up!

Absolutely disgusting scenes at Reading here.

I feel like quite a few managers have been sacked after losing to us in the last few years when we've been struggling. It's like losing to Villa was the final straw.
Unfortunately I can't remember any examples to back this up off the top of my head.

We're not being laughed at anymore!
Sunderland in dazzling display of no-touch football
16-03-15
Britain Soccer Premier League
SUNDERLAND wowed fans with their unique brand of no-touch football during a 4-0 home defeat to Aston Villa.
While Villa’s players employed a more traditional style, often taking multiple touches and then passing, their opponents trialled a groundbreaking tactic, deftly avoiding any contact with the ball for the entire match.
Fans said they were honoured to witness the evolution of a new style of play which takes Spanish ‘tiki-taka’ one-touch football to the next logical step.
Sunderland fan Tom Logan said: “Even when it would’ve been easy to take control of the ball and dribble it up the pitch or find a short pass, the Sunderland players stayed well out the way. It was masterful.”
By the end of the game the devastating tactical masterclass had taken its toll on the Villa players who could only seek scant consolation in their four measly goals.
Sunderland manager Gus Poyet said: “It’s more than just not making contact with the ball. It’s the feeble lunges, the desperate shouting and the placing of hands on hips.”

16 years and 176 days
First ever 1998 born to play in the Premier League
-
Gareth Barry was Villa's previous youngest player at the age of 17 years 67 days, while Jimmy Brown remains the club's youngest ever first team player aged, 15 years 349 days.
-
Apparently the 4th youngest ever Premier League player so I'm guessing he's our youngest?

LOL LOL this is brilliant
Reminding me of Boro when someone chucked their season ticket
-
I think he's hoping to score and create goals.

Looks like a dive to me.
This whole new evasive action argument is bollocks IMO. If he was going to get hit then do it and get the free kick. Its only running in to another man ffs its hardly going to kill him.
If you jumped over a 2 footed lunge the other player would probably get sent off for intent anyway.
If hes not going to get hit, go past him and be in 1 on 1.

Suspiciously talented footballers invade pitch at Villa Park
09-03-15
Soccer - FA Cup - Sixth Round - Aston Villa v West Bromwich Albion - Villa Park
POLICE are trying to identify 11 men dressed in claret and blue shirts who invaded the pitch at Villa Park and played effective attacking football.
The impostors infiltrated the playing surface during Aston Villa’s encounter with West Bromwich Albion last week, only arousing suspicion when they exchanged a series of incisive passes followed up by meaningful attempts on target.
The Football Association has pledged to locate the intruders before they rob Villa fans of the dour 0-0 draws they have come to expect.
An FA spokesman said: “The suspects look a lot like Villa players, but their creativity in midfield immediately set alarm bells ringing.
“We would urge the public to be vigilant and let us know if they witness any more pinpoint crosses or nicely-weighted through balls at Villa Park, basically anything that looks out of place.”
Villa fan Stephen Malley said: “It set a terrible example to my kids. I covered their eyes when the shots on target started.”

The media and Pulis are being so hypocritical it's ridiculous.
It was a friendly pitch invasion, just like so many examples where fans and the media have been delighted to see it. This seems to have been turned by the condemnable, but I would have ti assume accidental, early pitch invasion, and violence from West Brom fans to make it sound like a riot took place.
And the quote from Delph saying he got bit, he was laughing and clearly loving it in that interview yet they just quote him and make it sound like he was about to get murdered!
There will be a fine, anything more would be unprecendented and uncalled for.
Put some of the blame the stupid kick off time and housing the away fans above the home fans.
Oh yeah, and we should be thrown out of this years Champions League along with our Premier League points deduction

Let's just beat Southampton and enjoy watching the rest of it unfold. Have Hull win and take it to the final day, with them hopefully sending Sunderland or Newcastle down instead,
