Doesn't mean much. Jamie Vardy didn't join Leicester until he was 25...
-
So on that basis he should be playing well while back in Italy then?
Anyone know if he is?

When people ask for 'red onion' in subway when they only do one type of onion...red.

shit performance and a defeat or 0-0 draw - who can honestly see anything else?
-
He isn't gone yet, which means (in my eyes anyway) he will be here for Barnsley.

7 million euros for an utter dogshit player who doesn't want to be here? Happy days!

I predict a mass of defenders, Hutton our outlet down the right, long balls to Hogan who gets replaced by an uninspiring Gaby on 70mins.
An embarassing defeat, with no shots on target, a number of defensive mistakes punished by a good solid opposition of square pegs in square holes.
An aftermatch interview stating not only the obvious, but a deja vu of the last 20+ games postmatch talks to please the british press and their little Englander bias.
What a shit show
Bruce out
You just know this is exactly how the game will go

exactly. It wasn't really way over, it was just the going rate.
-
I was hoping he would still be banned so we only get a draw at Blackburn
-
Nice guy but very average footballer - won't take us where we need to be.

Some are on the fence (however, many of these are having their doubts, but are prepared to give him a chance to prove he can/cant)

I think that's unfair. Grealish hasn't kicked on as we'd have all hoped, and there's definitely a chance that his attitude is holding him back, but he's been in a pretty unstable situation for quite a while now (as have a lot of our players).
He's got talent and needs to apply it. I actually think, whilst I've been critical of him too, the pressure has got to him. He was expected to be a great player, being linked to Man City et al at one point, and probably expected to "cruise" a bit in the Championship. As this hasn't happened, I think he'll feel somewhat "free" to express himself properly next season.
Hopefully at another club.

It all sounds so simple - but we are villa, we can't even do the simple things.

Norwich above Villa in the table.
Lansbury been at Norwich before.
No brainer that he goes to Carrow Road really.
I think you are forgetting wages...

Unbelievable how bad we actually are. Last few games we have went so far backwards we are back in last season.
Sick of this now

Starts today

All joking aside, I can see Gestede fitting into the west brom team.
They will supply crosses for him, whereas we don't so he is pointless in our team.

Yeah agree with this. if he is going to be used out wide, we need someone better in the middle.
And that means a new striker.

I still think one of these games we are going to click and give someone a right spanking.
And then lose the next game in true villa fashion

Can I just say for the first time in almost half a decade I actually look forward to watching our team play, and I have Brucey and Xia to thank for that. I've become so used to watching half-arsed players play a tactically poor game plan, for a manager that really doesn't have a clue. It's so refreshing to have a manager I actually respect in both a personal and professional context and actually has the required credentials to manage a club such as this. I almost feel as if I forgot the feeling of watching a team with an actual identity with players that have a suited role within that system. Really enjoying all the positivity coming out of the dressing room at the moment and we actually have players I actually really enjoy watching (Ayew, Kodjia, Chester ect)....and i still feel this team hasn't even gotten out of third gear. Apologies for the optimism out the blue, but i'm off to Brighton this afternoon and for once i'm in a really good mood for the football and thought i'd share.
1pm - optimistic on way to game
9.30pm - villa get pumped
haha

I went to Newcastle v Ipswich recently as my bro is a fan.
It pained me but Ciaran Clark strolled through the game, didn't put a foot wrong.
Was vocal, commanding and very very good.
I think the move has done him wonders.

We are now slagging a player off for what, having a laugh?
I agree he is shit and worst player to be around for ages, but come on, he isn't allowed to laugh or carry on?
Pretty pathetic.
