Good piece, sums things up perfectly. I also feel we are down after that last night, I mean - where are we going to get a win from?

Gabriel Agbonlahor insits he wants to stay with Aston Villa for his entire career. The 24-year old striker recently signed a four-and-a-half-year deal with his hometown club and has reiterated his commitment to the cause amidst rumours that some players are preparing to leave Villa Park in the summer. “At the moment I am just focusing on getting games in and playing more and more for Villa," he told Fifa's official website. "I definitely see myself as a one-club man, which I feel is important, and hopefully I have the chance to continue here long into the future. "I signed a new contract recently and if it was up to me I would stay at Villa Park for the rest of my career, so I hope that'll be the case."
These quotes are from a year ago - has he really changed his mind that much?

Its ok everyone, dont worry, I have us surviving by 2 points with QPR, as long as we win the Bolton game.
Wolves, Wigan and Blackburn down.
Panic over.
-
Against Arsenal he might have been out best threat but the final ball wasn't there, so who cares if he runs clean through 5 times - he isn't doing anything when he gets there.
Different story V chelsea. He managed to get a few decent balls in. However, he did also play a few against the first man.
He should start next game though.

Even if you think that is the only thing he has done wrong, that is a huge mistake, a huge thing which mark my words will put the club in Championship at the end of next season. I just know it.
Your words have been marked as requested.

I think Bannan and maybe Delph could fill the midfield role ok if they were given a few starts, all Bannan needs is a bit more experiance,Delph is one for the futore
No he isnt - Delph is absolutely shite.

OTT or what ?
Weiman scores - and we want to pack the toughest league in the world with a load of green kids ? - Get real - they would get slaughtered week in - week out. a blend of youth and experience is whats needed.
Thank god someone sees sense!
We score one (lucky?) goal that the youngsters were involved in and here we go, drop petrov, start the kids, with the biggest respect, that is absolute bollocks.
Petrov holds us together, defo.

Boring

I always worry now though when one of our players starts playing well, getting noticed and then the England call up happens......we all know what happens next!
We all hope gabby is different but we will never be 100% sure unless it is tested. Something that actually may happen if he keeps up this form for the rest of the season

Thanks for the informative contribution
It was more informative than your post above, period? Are u american or do u just like to repeat words u hear listening to american TV?

The right manager for Aston Villa will be at the game the weekend and i would pull out all the stops to get him.
Agreed!
I assume you mean Lambert?
Sharp this guy, aint he :-)

I've picked this one to come down to as I live in Glasgow and its about as close as villa get to me!
Never been to an away game before (other than Wembley last season!) so really looking forward to it.
My lack of villa songs and a scottish accent might show me up though :-(
-
I'm normally in the hoooooofff corner but i do feel that we missed him on Saturday and hope he is back for WBA on Saturday.
-
Who is that then?
Emile Heskey of course :-)
-
General, the club have confirmed we have sold £20k season tickets, I presume this is down on last season - by how many?
Based on these sales, what do you expect our average crowds to be this season?
Thanks.

Code:
Given
L. Young - Collins - Dunne - Warnock
Petrov - Makoun
Albrighton Ireland N'Zogbia
Bent
Its a strong first 11 but very worried about squad depth if 2 players get injured and 1 suspended for example.
-
I hope he leaves. I dont want him at villa after the way he has acted.
Complete and utter arsehole unworthy of wearing the claret and blue.
Plus he has a poor final ball and no right foot.
And did i mention hes a dick…
-
Unfortunately its hard not to agree.
However i cannot agree that i wont care about villa. I cant help it. I just love avfc too much

Hi General,
Are you coming back to this site?
I have some questions regarding transfers I would like to ask you.
Many thanks.
The General is on holiday. NO TRANSFER QUESTIONS
-
He did a decent job there despite the turmoil
Yip getting them relegated is a decent job. NOT.
General, this manager has suffered 3 relegations in his short managerial career to date.
I honestly cannot see what you think he brings to the table.
I think the most important thing we need to know, and know now is - ARE THERE ANY OTHER MANAGERS LINED UP FOR AN INTERVIEW?
-
My hope:
That MM and the rest of us have been caught up in the latest smokescreen from the club.
The club must know that MM repeats a lot of the things that he hears, therefore maybe they've fed him a line to keep him off the scent.
Cannot laugh loud enough at your hope mate, that really is the furthest fetched thing iv heard yet!
-
6 months? Yeah then we can bring in allardyce to save us from relegation
-
Funny how when McClaren is mentioned, suddenly Rafa's not so bad after all isn't it?!!!!!
Ha ha - perfectly sums things up.
-
There was a story going about that Pardew was in debt to their owner over gambling at casinos etc..
Doesnt really make sense to give him the managers job then does it ?
Yip, you cant be trusted with money, heres the managers job and £50m to spend.
Confirmed: Paul Lambert new Villa boss

I cant honestly believe so many people on here think that McLeish is going to leave/be sacked.
This will not happen.
After this season, the arse of a chairman and chief exec will decide that this season was a 'transitional' season and we had to regroup after losing Young & Downing.
They honestly think that if we get through this season, next season will be better.
I swear, McLeish is going nowhere.
