Bassey would have to adapt to the premier league ,IMO he is not ready yet
If you have ever watched him play for rangers he is a very "hands on" player and not in a good way.
He gets away with holding, Barging and grabbing players shirts and a lot of shit-housery because VAR does not exist up north
If he signed for us he would be sent off within 5 mins
That's just ridiculous

I like Mings and was so nice when I met him the night before the Burnley game (ended up staying at the same hotel as the team ). He is also a competent defender as this level.
There is no world in which I want to see him moved on.

I like Marv, but his second touch is a tackle far, far too often.

Weghorst?! are you being serious?

Losing this game would be completely unacceptable. So with that in mind I predict a 1-0 Norwich win

Half decent window but we still haven't managed to fill the one position that unequivocally needed filling.
Our inability to fill that position is baffling and frustrating.

I am double jabbed. I "respect the virus". I tell my close ones (the most volnourable ones) to look after themselves, and take precaution. I also would strongly advise anyone not jabbed to do so.
I don't read social media (VT is the exception).
But I don't think everyone who doesn't get vaxxed is selfish, an idiot, or a granny killer. I also think many of the precautions taken across the world go very much against civil liberties. I'm not talking about mask wearing. I am terrified that Boris can tell a single mother that she has to close her business because of the virus. This is a big alarm bell for me, and isn't right.
But what if that single mother, who barely hangs on, now sees Boris having an Xmas party last year?
I wouldn't ridicule someone who questions the current virus status quo, there are various different people out there with different life circumstances. Not everyone against child vaccination is a social media right wing weirdo, so let's not treat them that way.
Mate that is so bang on and reasonable. Unfortunately so many folk think you have to be one or the other!

I don't think SG will ever start Ings and Watkins again.
(Unless Ollie returns to his wife role)
Does that make Ings the husband?

I've often thought that the reason managers seem to be good for a few years then drop off is the opposite of that, I think managers develop favourites naturally based on previous performances and general trust in a player and then they are reluctant to replace them precisely because they don't see them as simple commodities.
New manager comes in, spends the next few years (hopefully) replacing some of the weaker players with better ones (in our case thinking of the likes of Watkins, McGinn, Mings, probably Buendia moving forward, who Dean would have really struggled to move on from), we improve, but this new manager develops their own favourites in this time meaning they struggle to improve the squad past a certain point, form dips, they get sacked, new manager comes in and does the same thing.
That's why IMO Sir Alex was so special. He was never afraid to sell his favourites and bring in new players, he managed to keep that team fresh and motivated for decades.
This is absolutely bang on mate and according to my many Rangers supporting mates, is exactly why Rangers have not been as good this season.

Dont forget that in the SPL if he was not playing against Celtic then he probably didnt actually need any subs at all.I mean I cant see Rangers having to bring on 1/2 subs to change the game against P.Thistle,Montrose,Kilmarnock,St Johnstone,St Mirren, etc etc etc.
only two of them are actually in the SPL

He's ok on the left, but it's not his position.
In Gerrard's post match interview, he's talking about the Watkins goal and says "there's no better sight in football than when you see your number 9 open up". Ignoring the fact that he wears 11, that probably shows where Gerrard thinks Watkins should be playing.
The Ings v Watkins dynamic is going to be the biggest headache for Gerrard this season, as it was for Smith. Watkins clearly looks best as lone striker in a 4-3-3. Ings clearly looks best in a front 2. They can both do a job in other setups, but the question is how much you get out of them.
Be really interested to see how Gerrard handles it, because this is the kind of thing that really tests a manager.
Was probably because Ings went off and Watkins was playing the number 9 role when he scored - nothing more to it than that really.

Boring thread, can we get back to talking about our skipper please?

We still have a 20m tax bill for Jack and if we use other tax losses we can’t use those to offset other costs. The bottom line is Jack nets us 80m and not 100m
**** - better re-do my professional tax qualification then, leave my business and come to you for new training.

Don't forget that HMRC takes about 20% of the 100m for Jack.
No they won't as we will have losses brought forward to offset against profits for that accounting period.
