Depends how mushroom we have in FFP
Wow, this is sheer quality, well played sir.

SO easy, Bailey has had his chance and failed miserably.
I'd offload Bailey (even for free) and give Philiogene his chance.

Oh please. it's been so long since we've had that. The anticipation something is about to happen when they get moving. Bailey had it for a but but now I don't really get excited to see him on the ball, no more than any other player anyway.
Jesus I remember how hyped I was about Bailey after that Everton goal. All downhill from there.

He's not close to being a better option than Bailey yet.
He was a better option than Bailey when he wasn't available as he was out on loan!

To be fair it has been a while since we had a complete maniac on the pitch, I am all for it.

the problem with Davis, is even if we would accept 1m for him, he's on 40k+ p/w here, so is he really going to take a huge pay drop for a permanent mooe to a Champ team!?
I dunno, i dont see it, i can see him going out on loan again until his contract expires next summer.
Kudos to him tho if he does choose to drop wages and go, but i doubt he will, and tbh, i wouldnt blame him, why take a 50-70% pay cut when you can go on loan again on your current wages, then move for free in the summer and maybe get a better deal next year on a free.
Nail on head.

I do get what you are saying mate, I just hate seeing that account getting any sort of credibility!

It's unlike this account to pipe up randomly with a tweet about a player without them meaning something (i.e. there's something in the Brennan Johnson rumours). Whether you believe this account or not, the smoke is building on this one, so there might be something to it. He wouldn't be someone that I'd go for (I think there's better value elsewhere), but he's got pace, potential, knows where the net is and in Unai we trust.
Are you kidding? That guy is completely full of shit? Can't believe folk are still falling for this guy after around 4 transfer windows!

Say what you like about Bruce, but that guy was committed. Chasing Bryan down the motorway, vaulting McCormack's gates
Steve Bruce vaulting is a sight I would pay to see.

Only player I can't get behind. Headless chicken, always takes one touch too many and very litte in the way of a final ball.
Also thinks he is a million times better than he is. Would love it if we sold him this summer.

For tax reasons its often preferable to get the fee over a numbers of years.
not really when the cumulative losses brought forward are so high.

God forbid if there are one or two words mispronounced, the muppets in England will mock him.
Worse thing is mate, it will be our own fans!

I'm purely speculating on the fact marca posted something for the first time in months. Adding to that the fact we were in for him in January shows there is genuine interest there.
And finally, we operate fairly stealthily, and the genuine transfers tend to only get leaked the day they're happening.
So I'm going Marca got wind of something this morning, and it's going to be confirmed today. 99% chance I'm wrong, but just my guess.
For what it's worth, there doesn't appear to be any private jets flying from Bilbao to Birmignham today.
And the award for most optimistic post of the year goes to...

As much as I would love this one, I can't see it happening. He will go to a club that are higher up in the rankings I think.
-
Couldn't be more pleased for him. Genuine guy, gives a shit, always tries his best.
And now showing that he is a top defender.
Not only his defending abilities, but driving forward and picking good passes.
Love him!

Think he might get a start against Leicester. Young put in a strong shift and don’t know if he’s up for 90 against Leicester. Unai might go with a more defensive RB with Chambers and have Bailey on for the counter.
Sounds like an awful idea - Bailey is as useful at counter-attacking (or football in general) as I am at knitting knickers.
-
Rather than replacing him, I would spend big on the player to play behind him. I mean imagine Joao Felix behind Watkins.

I'm absolutely fed up watching him. Runs into trouble, doesn't lift his head, passes when he should run, runs when he should pass, need i go on?
If we can even get £5m for him in the summer i'd take it.
Absolute waste of money.

I wonder if McGinn will accept 6 bottles of bru and a Haggis sandwich just to go back to the Highlands
Doubt it considering he isn't from the highlands.

I’m not too happy to see these sorts of tackles going in, of course I want to see a level of aggression in our play but that’s 2 games in a row where we have had players get away with challenges that would’ve seen red via VAR in the PL.
When was the first? You aren't referring to McGinn, surely?

As it's the season for speculation and fun--I wouldn't be surprised if we made an attempt for Jesus or Richarlison etc. (as previously mentioned by that ITK on Twitter @Villa_1_8_7_4).
But, as you say, positive signs for sure.
That boy knows absolutely **** all.
