There’s only 2 main scenarios that lead to Jack leaving this summer. Firstly, he does have a release clause in his contract, that is triggered by a club. Secondly, a club make an offer which is too good to turn down (maybe £150m).
The first of those scenarios is unlikely. It was reported at the time of signing his contract that it did contain a release clause but it is likely that it only comes into play if we were relegated. Therefore, we are likely to be ok here. The second of those scenarios is also unlikely. Who can afford to pay £150m for a single player? The answer is probably only City or PSG and neither are likely to go that hard after Jack.
In reality, the contract Jack signed last year really protects us. We hold all of the cards. I expect us to keep him for at least one more season. Whether he remains longer will probably be directly linked to how well we do next season.

Watkins will start every game up front if fit and not suspended, like last season. We're not signing Tammy for 40m to provide competition and he wouldn't want to come "to fight for the shirt".
100% correct

The whole England shambles is our biggest enemy at the moment. Jack wants to prove that he is the best by playing against and beating the best on the biggest stage. England gives him the opportunity to do that but for some reason big nose does not deem him worthy. If Jack moves to City, he will not only play in massive matches for them, he will make it impossible for Safegate to ignore him.
Jack is a driven individual. He is not like a Le Tiss who was largely quite lazy. He wants to step up and keep proving himself. I think we will just about be able to convince him to stay for one more year but unless we get a new England manager or Villa qualify for CL I’m sure he will leave next season. Jack always speaks in awe of City. You can tell that he is drawn to them.

Disagree, I think he’s more sensible and realistic than that. Playing in front of fans again and hopefully in Europe the following season is a massive draw…
Well I guess we will find out.

I think he will stay for another season. If we finish top 4 he will then stay for another season. If we don’t then I would imagine that he will leave. Whatever happens we won’t have our pants pulled down.

The lack of tracking back is a valid concern imo.
I noticed he did it at times against the Czech but he didn't do it for the whole game. There were times were he was just strolling back at walking pace.
I'm not sure if this has to do with a lack of fitness or if he is simply doing like Ronaldo and conserves energy.
Jack has even himself admitted to that is an area he can improve on.
You don’t buy a Ferrari and then drive it around at 30mph because you are concerned about fuel consumption. What the actual f*** does big nose want Jack defending for when he already has like a gazillion defenders on the pitch. Get him forward, give him the ball, sit back and enjoy as he goes to town. Gary Neville is big mates with Southgate and will be a mouthpiece for big nose at every given opportunity. I take his thoughts on these matters with an enormous pinch of salt. That said, we will almost certainly be disappointed when the team’s announced on Tuesday.
In a way, I hope that Jack doesn’t play. Big nose sets up in a way that will never get the best out of Jack. It almost seems as though he wants Jack to fulfill a role that he is totally unsuitable for. Big nose’s England are awful to watch. Hopefully we won’t be subjected to it for much longer!

He's much more like George Best.
Anybody remember the chippy in Sutton called George’s Best? Always good for a bag of chips or a punch in the face after a night out!

Sterling definitely does not pass to Jack. He also gets in his way most of the time. Thank goodness we only have one more game of this left. I have never been so bored watching England in a tournament.

I have just been on the Norwich fans forum. There’s not a single fish pun to be found anywhere. Those guys really do not know how to enjoy themselves!

He's much better than Calvert Lewin. Better stats on everything except for 2 goals and 1 fewer aerials won per game. Fewer big chances missed, better creations better dribbling, passing, hold up play.
The point is, it should never have been one or the other. Both players should be in the squad. Safegate picked way too many defenders!

I doubt whether Jack will start tomorrow. Gareth is just too cautious. He will bring in Bellingham for Mount but I don’t expect any other changes. Imagine living in a world where a football manager values Rice, Philips, Bellingham, Mount, Sterling et al over a genuine once in a generation talent in Grealish. Ridiculous really.

It was reported at the time that his contract did include a buy out clause.

Let's just hope Southgate doesn't get a premiership gig when he is sacked as England manager as he obviously would be desperate to sign him....
I know you are only joking of course but the chances of Safegate getting a PL gig are slim to none. How have we ended up with an England manager of such poor quality? Are the FA that skint? Safegate would be hard pushed to get a top championship gig. It’s even more crazy to think that he will still probably be in charge by the next World Cup. That is probably not good news for our Jack.

I am sure I read somewhere that Roma will turn their attention to Luiz if they fail to land the other midfielder they're looking to sign.
I read that too. I would be surprised if he left this summer but the fact that he hasn’t yet signed a new contract is interesting.

The fact that we are having this debate says it all. Jack is easily our best player. It’s not even close. If the manager can’t see that then he should no longer be the manager. No surprise really because the manager has never achieved anything! Nothing! Nada! Eff all!

He was really good tonight. Really showed the levels he can get to.

What? Why? He had 30 minutes and failed miserably. That’s his 30 minutes done
How did he fail? He was the only outlet. The players did not give him the ball

Southgate managing Jack is akin to Mick McCarthy managing Messi. Pointless

At least jack will start now next match

Tammy is not coming to villa without assurances that he is going to play every week, which we won’t give him. Anybody willing to pay £40m for him is fully having their pants pulled down. Add to that the fact that that he is unsuited to our favoured style of play and what you have is a few bits of unfounded click bait rubbish.
