    Sherwood is covering the Villa game on BeIn Sports with Andy Gray and Richard Keys. He's said that it's perhaps no surprise that Remi has picked the French lads. Andy Gray then chimed in saying he probably knows them better than Sherwood did. 

    How the **** is he supposed to know the players better than the guy who's been working with them for the last 3 months??

    Ayew and Gana aren't even French FFS!!! What a load of old bollocks.

    To be fair, Garde said the exact same thing in an interview with Sky.

    I think part of the reason for his 'not passing' is that he's been desperate to show what he can do in such limited time.  Give him a bit longer - for me that's coming on round about an hour gone when people are tiring - and I think / hope he'd be more inclined to show an all round game.  See the change in Ayew over a couple of weeks.  Adama's looked such a perfect super-sub option it's been disappointing not to see more of him. 

    How many minutes has he played for us?  Dont understand how people can judge him based off his limited appearances.  All i know is that he changed the game against Crystal Palace.

    No we brought him on and we were loosing.  When he was on the pitch we drew.

    It was 0-0 when he came on, they scored instantly after, Palace exploited the gap left by Sanchez to force a corner.

    Carragher and Lampard having a good giggle whilst they're supposed to be doing a professional job is an embarrassment even for a company like Sky.

    To be fair, if it wasn't a Villa player, it'd be funny to us as well. Gabby had 8 touches, 2 were kick offs, that's a **** embarrassment. 

    Hopefully, if/when Garde drops him, he just shows him that clip as his justification, nothing else would be necessary.

    Really enjoying this so far, finished 9th and got to the FA Cup final first year and starting to have a really good squad signing players like Embolo, Vilhena, Van Rhijn, Cillesen, S.Bender and Gimenez to name a few, though some of that is down to the rich consortium that took over.

    I did miss having Benteke first season, Ayew was good occasionally but stuttered a lot, Embolo came in in January, and Gestede was awful, so it's a good job Klopp only played him 6 times that year...

    Cmon, it's gonna be garde - no compo, ligue 1 experience to match our new players, arsenal connections, current employer saying he is in advanced talks, trent saying it will be him, bookies saying he is clear favourite. Just want it done fast so we can get cracking and to stop stooppid media stories about dwight and gus etc.

     

    I just really don't see us sacking someone with only half a season PL experience, to replace him with someone with none. Theres just to many millions at stake. Randy will want the best bloke to get us 17th and secure his TV money. 

    But Sherwood wasn't sacked because he lacked experience, he was sacked because he was a moron that was getting us relegated through sheer incompetence. If anything, hiring Sherwood shows the board care less about experience and more about who they can get on the cheap, which would point to Garde.

    Sherwood said before the game "I couldn't get any more centre forwards onto the field".

    I don't know if that really qualifies as tactics. We'll see...

    Well the other line up has come from the clubs official twitter page, plus SSN's reporter at the game said there was 2 changes, Gil and Westwood out, Bacuna and Agbonlahor in.
