  1. Has he actually scored for them yet?

Was suprised the amount on here convinced he'd get 20 goals for Derby this season no problem.

No, but he's only started one game, and that was against Burnley who are a pretty good team.

  2. gill leaving is starting to look more and more like having the same impact as dein leaving arsenal, hopefully paired with fergie going they wont get away with it

cant imagine that with that kind of money they couldnt have afforded a number of top strikers in europe, benzema, cavani, maybe even reus, the pulling power isnt there, all that money spent since fergie, have they bought one top top player in their prime? not off the top of my head they havent, they've overspent on youth, overspent on bang average players and overspent on players who are about to decline

Di Maria. But then van Gaal played him at wing back and cm

  3. Crazy talk from those who say Villa have the stronger squad. Lot of clubs have strenghten and gap might have closed in, But it's still there

No-ones really said that though, just that our first XI's are a lot closer now. Honestly, out of the team Tottenham started v Everton, I'd only definitely take Lloris, Vertonghen and Alderweireld, possibly Kane, though that's more because I don't really know how Ayew and Gestede will adapt to the league and I think Kane is overrated/one-season wonder. Of the rest of their squad, obviously I'd take Eriksen in a heartbeat, the rest I'm not so sure would get into our best squad. Lamela and Chadli possibly, though I'd rather see Adama, Gil or Grealish playing if I'm honest. Son may get into our squad, but like Ayew/Gestede, it's still to be seen how well he'll adapt.

As a squad though, yeah Tottenham have much better strength in depth, and that's why they will probably finish between 10th-6th, whilst we'll probably be 11th at the very highest.

  4. Strange him going to Bournemouth...they signed Tyrone Mings for 8m, he isn't actually playing for them atm as their left back from championship Charlie Daniels is being given a chance in the prem. Distin can also cover that in an emergency.

Is he going to play there more than he would for us. I assume with him being on the bench at the weekend he would be first in line if Amavi got injured, looks like Richardson will be back up now unless Llori can play left back.

Mings got injured last weekend, looks like it could've been pretty serious, so Bennett has a decent chance to win a first team place.

  5. their midfield is not that strong as last season. WTF happened to Fabregas

He's been playing 30+ games a season since he was 17, that's what happened to him.

  6.

Shame about Southampton going out. They would've struggled this season but I think they'll be alright now. The way English clubs treat the Europa League is a joke

No, the Europa League is a joke and the way English clubs treat it is a reflection of that and completely understandable.

I'm sure English clubs won't be thinking like that when we lose that 4th Champions League spot soon due to clubs rarely getting anywhere in Europe. Italy are very close to overtaking England, and that's mainly because their teams did well in the Europa League in recent years.

  7.

Milner pulling the strings too. He's so good in central midfield. Shame he wasted the last 4 years of his career playing out wide for club and country.

His Premier League winner medals would suggest it wasn't wasted tbh.

Depends what you mean by wasted I suppose. In terms of trophies and his bank account, Milner didn't waste the last 4 years, in terms of his standing in the game and where he could have potentially been if he'd been playing CM over the last 4 years, then he has wasted them. And it's not as if his choice was either win trophies or improve as a CM, he could've easily done both if he waited for the right club.

  8.

Fabregas, like Rooney, has been playing first team football since his teens. Both are starting to show a little wear and tear. It's a little less obvious with Fabregas because he was never an explosive player, but it's definitely visible. Good examples of how young players need to eased into first team football, but it is difficult when they're so good so young.

You can't really not play a player who is good enough at 17 just to stop them fading when they get to 28/29.

There's a difference between not playing a player and easing them in, especially when both Rooney and Fabregas were playing 30+ games a season at 17. Just resting them an extra 10 or so games a season during their late teens wouldn't have hurt them or their teams.
