We got £41 million last season as a parachute payment, this season we get about £30 million and are right on the limit of FFP. Next season our final parachute payment is only £14m so we have to shed £16m from somewhere.

Gabby and McCormack will free up around £4m which leaves another £12m to free up.

I think the danger is bigger than people think and the exodus will be larger than people think.

FFP is based over three seasons, which means next year the £80m loss we made in the 2015/16 seasons will no longer be counted towards our FFP considerations (as I believe the relevant seasons next year will be 2016-2019), which would more than make up for that £16m difference.

Half decent? They're one of the best teams in the league with a class loanee from Atletico Madrid and a 15mil CM. Massively underrating them again. Cardiff are 2nd, Bristol are 4th but we started badly this season, no question. Fact is, top 6 accounts for 12 games, the other 18 for 36 - it's much more important to get results against the latter, in the grand scheme of things IMO.

Reading? Brentford? Middlesbrough with 10 men? Hull?

Edit: Also if we want promotion, we should be beating a team in 4th, and at least giving 2nd a good game to try dislodge them.

Also to add, stop acting like this is just about the Wolves game, the "half decent" was clearly in reference to all the other games we've been shit in.

We didn't 'need' to win this game - we need to beat the teams we should be beating, that's what gets you there at the end of the season.

Yes we did, because our last four wins have come against shite teams that we should have been rolling aside with ease - which apart from Burton and Barnsley to a degree, didn't happen - so if we wanted to be actually challengers this season, we needed to show we could beat good teams, but we can't, so no promotion for us.

And as for beating teams we need to beat, what about Cardiff? Brentford? Bristol City? Middlesbrough? Reading? I'd say if we wanted promotion we should be beating at least 3/4 of them, yet we still shut up shop and didn't get a sniff. And you seem to be conveniently be missing the point about how an actual promotion challenger, Wolves, would not play this way at VP,  because they'd try beat us and take points of a fellow challenger. If we'd won today, we'd be 1 point off top, instead we're 7. Sure it's a long season, but if that's how we play the moment we face anyone half decent, that gap is only going to get bigger.

Again, giving zero credit to Wolves here. You do know that there are two teams playing in a game, right?

No I didn't realise, I thought Wolves were playing against training cones to be honest.

Do you think Wolves would play like this at VP? No, because they're going for promotion and want to beat everyone. Under Bruce we are clearly not good enough because in games that we need to win to show ourselves as challengers, we shut up shop and hope for a draw with zero attempt at playing football ourselves. If anything it's giving massive credit to them because I'm saying that we should be taking Wolves as an example of how to play, which is **** depressing to say.

Because one game doesn't make a season. Did you honestly expect us to just pitch up and get a win? Massively disrespectful to Wolves.

It's not one game though is it? We also got embarrassed by Cardiff and Reading, the moment we face any half decent side we fall to bits.

And yes, I do expect us to go for the win against Wolves, because we are targeting promotion this season, do you think Wolves wouldn't try go for the win at VP and just let us have the ball for the entire game? No they wouldn't because they want to be promoted.

We're losing to a very strong team with 2 players who'd walk into our side. Losing here doesn't really mean anything in the grand scheme.

The grand scheme is getting promoted this season, and we're currently being completely embarrassed against a promotion challenger (Second time this season), how does that not mean anything in the grand scheme? It shows that under Bruce we are nowhere near **** good enough to consider promotion.

Games over and we may need hogan on Friday....Sullivan deserves his debut too...

I suppose, but it's just strange we've taken off our only striker again when I'm pretty sure one of the other young lads on the bench is a striker too.

O'Hare booked for time wasting on 68 minutes against League One Wigan in the cup.

    The return of Bruce Almighty.

    Keep it tight lads.

To be fair it was for having a shot after an offside had been given I believe.

To be fair we are still attacking them. And resting Davis and hogan fir wigan

That's why I said try, we have our tails up at the minute, but it's a bit risky throwing on an extra defender on and have no recognisable striker.
