  1. He's not a bad manager! The more i think about it the more its becoming clear its gonna be Hughes. Trying to get Moyes would be a long drawn out process and i think it would be very difficult to get him. The only other one i think it might be is Jol. I've thought about Rafa and although he's got a good cv i dont think he would work at Villa.
  2. That and the fact that Downing is frightened of any physical contact with any other player, dont get me wrong i think he is a very good player, but he is the biggest wimp in our team by a country mile!
  3. I've watched all three games that Makoun has featured in since he was signed, i thought he was quiet against Wigan and failed to track his man on one or two occasions but his last two performances have been top draw. Our best player against Man Utd and also against Fulham, some of his passing is fantastic, somebody like Bannan could learn so much from him but to compare Bannan to Makoun is unfair, this is a proven champions league player, played at the top level in Europe for the past few years and also a fair bit older than Bannan. I dont think Bannan at this stage could have the same affect on a game that Makoun has but potentially could do in the future and hopefully will do!
  4. I scored it 114-112 to Khan, if i was the Referee though i might have stopped it in the 10th, he took a right beating but the way he came back in the 11th was class. His chin is obviously not as bad as everybody thought because of the Prescott fight. How does everyone think that Hatton in his prime would do against the likes of Khan, Alexander, Bradley and Maidana??
  5. He treats us like were a small club, like we had no right to finish 6th three seasons in a row and we completely overachieved. We even finished above his beloved Liverpool last season, he must have thought that was an absolute travesty. So far he's said absolutly nothing to make me feel positive about him being our manager, he just seems to have no passion for our club and likes to play down achievements over the past three years. i really cant bring myself round to liking this guy at the moment, and week by week he's making me dislike him even more.
  6. I agree. It will be interesting to see how long it will take the board to remove him if results dont improve drastically. Personally i am willing to get behind the manager for the next couple of games but it doesnt shy away from the fact i dont want him here, i just want to support the team as much as possible when we most need it and i believe that involves supporting the manager too.
  7. MON signed some shocker's aswell in his time, i think all manager's have at some point. I just feel in January if we spend moey we really cant afford to get it wrong with who GH chooses to buy
  8. Bloody hell that list of players is awful, IF Randy gives him significant funds in january im worried what he'l do with them.
  9. I voted no. I wasnt very optimistic about him becoming manager to begin with but i was hoping to be proved wrong. I wanted somebody who was a bit younger with more hunger, passion and enthusiasm, Houllier doesnt seem to have any of them, the sound of his voice makes me feel depressed and seeing him sit lifeless on the bench next to G-Mac makes me feel even worse! If we dont win at least one of our next two games i think the pressure will really be on him, i just hope the board has the nerve to get rid of him.
