    Definitely think Chrisy H should be our natural first choice right back this season. Is a really solid player and seems to have bulked up quite a bit!

    I have unfortunately had to sell my tickets for tomorrows game in the holte end and I am willing to sell them to the first buyers at a 1/3 of the price! £10 each! I live in Stafford so you will need to collect them from there before the match at 1pm at the latest. Please mailbox me if interested!     Couldn't agree more. Highly tempted to bet on Villa to lose the last two games because I can't see us picking up any points under Gary Mac.

    They've already done enough damage to this club, get Houllier and Macallister out and start a fresh with a new management team next season. Someone a bit younger and adventurous like Hughton

    I love the fact we have to spend £24 million on a striker just so we can snatch a draw against the Everton B team. All Makoun seems to be doing is getting sent off and giving away penalties - having said that it was a pretty poor decision from the ref. Will take a draw but under the circumstances we should have held on.

    We'll be lucky to get a point here. Whenever we play Everton we always seem to be second best yet luckily scrape a result - the win earlier on in the season and ash's infamous last minute goal in the win two seasons ago comes to mind. In both those games Everton bossed us around the park. The 2-2 draw against United is proof of how we can play but that has happened once in a blue moon this season. I'd take a draw definitely

    How you can spend £30 million in the January transfer window and still not beat the worst team in the league. What a shambles - he has to go.

    Bannan was without doubt Villa's best player but surprise surprise GH will drop him on Sat for Petrov/Makoun no doubt. Terrible line-up, would have more respect for him if he had came out and explained his weakened team selection before-hand but he didn't - instead he made out that his side were going to go for it. GH looked like he was falling asleep on the bench most of the time and only Mcallister seemed to be interested. Heads will roll if we lose against Bolton on Saturday.

    Get in! Finally something to cheer about as a Villa fan! We have a good run of games coming up now and with the league table looking a lot more healthy (position-wise) there's no reason why we can't sneak into that Europa League spot. UTV!

    Definitely think we can get a win out of this. Blackpool are going through a real sticky patch at the moment and I think we should stick Jean Makoun on Charlie Adam. Would love to see Barry Bannan get a start, he's definitely deserved of one. One more thing GH, take frickin Gabby off the left wing, he can't play there for Toffee!

    Another great battling win. Had a look at the fixture list for the remainder of the season and we have plenty of winnable games. Let's get United next week out the way and put together a good run starting with Fulham at home. I still reckon we can make outside challenge for those Europa spots again this season. Bolton are fading as are Blackpool and Sunderland will be the ones to beat. How fitting it would be for Bent to come back and haunt his former club.
