Holy crap!

Half our squad would have to be wiped out in a meteor strike before Kozak gets a game.
-
Adama unleashed. At least there's a chance of something vaguely interesting happening now.

Anyone know why he was dropped from the squad for Saturdays game? I thought he would get given a chance by Garde. He must be up to his old self as usual
One week was obviously enough time for Garde to expose the real CNZ, he couldn't even keep the pretense up for a couple of games. I will raise a glass when this guy is out of contract - it will soften the blow of being relegated.

http://www.theguardian.com/football/blog/2015/nov/30/premier-league-10-talking-points-weekend-action (see point 2)
Guardian reporting Randy has spent a whopping £6 million net spend each year on average (presumably over the last 5 years). This buys you one half of a good player - is it a surprise our team has gotten worse each year?

Full of errors and painfully slow on the attack. If we are breaking and Sanchez gets the ball the whole thing grinds to a halt as he takes several touches, looks around and often takes the safe backwards pass. He is so clearly suited to the South American / Spanish leagues. Hard to see what benefit he brings unless we are trying to defend a lead and need to stay tight (this never happens).
-
Thank god he looked good last night, Garde can't ignore that. This guy will be our David Silva if he's given a chance.

5 minutes of good play. 85 minutes of dogshire. Over to you Remi.

We could be an all-time legendary Premier League shit side like Swindon 93-94, Sunderland 05-06 and Derby 07-08.
This is shockingly plausable.

from what i heard about laudrup....is that hes a pretty terrible coach/manager.
Name/connections is a slight pull but we dont need him to bring in players sooooDidn't Laudrup get sacked from Swansea for cancelling training after a defeat to take a two day jolly to Paris? Not the kind of commitment we need from our manager at the moment. Would love an Arsene Wenger / Gary Monk workaholic type who will put the hours in until this mess is sorted out.

I happen to be visiting friends in manchester this weekend so I will get the joy of watching villa get bummed by utd in a busy pub full of smug Mancs. Fate is cruel

Rentilla?
So slow news day, I'm on a train for the next 2 hours, anyone know when a player (preferably a centre back) would have to sign by to play Saturday is it 12:00 Friday?
Realistically...last week.

As long as we're not in the relegation conversation at the business end of the season, I'd be happy.

Lovely article in the guardian basically saying how shit Jordan is and how great his brother is.
Worrying stuff. Although I don't think Jonathan Wilson is giving him anough leeway for only being 23. Time to develop- I don't feel like he'd level those criticisms at a young English player.

I could honestly see this one dragging out till the end of the window. Spurs want to sell, villa want to buy - the delay just smacks of brinksmanship between Levy, who's looking to offload as much of Adebayor's fat wages as possible, and Villa who trying to pay as little as possible. Right now I would say Spurs would like to sell more than villa need to buy so I think it will get sorted out, but the longer it drags on the more desperate things will get until somebody accepts the offer or counter-offer on the table.

Leaving hospital https://twitter.com/DanBennett_/status/622062327790194688
Welp. Time for the photoshop experts to explain themselves!
-
Why make that statement if he was undecided about leaving? He could have left on nice terms last week but now he'll be remembered as flip flopping money grubber. Honestly this makes villa look very small time.
-
If he'd have gone the first time last week, I would have said good luck to him. His contract extension with the hilariously low buy-out clause was clearly a guise to get us some (any) money if a big team came in for him at the end of his contract. But now (if the rumors are true), after that previous statement...no words.

In a world where Twitter exists I wish Delph or the club would just come out and squash this stupidity one way or the other.

*Sigh* appoint a new chairman before the new season please Randy, preferably one who gives a damn.
i think he gives a damn, just doesn't know how to run a club
I would love to believe this but the guy comes to one game a season and he owns the freaking club!

There was an article in the MEN yesterday.
In one paragraph the journo was complimenting Milner because he was turning down a chance to stay at Man City because of footballing reasons and he'd play more at Liverpool rather than fighting for his place at Man City.
In the very next paragraph he was slating Delph because he was turning down a chance to play for Man City because of footballing reasons and he'd play more at Villa rather than fighting for his place at Man City.
Basically journalists are all pricks.

A bit of insight from one Carlos Cueller about Petrov's coaching ability in his blog on Marca.com (SPANISH TACKLE) today:
Apart from what happened on the pitch, I'd like to highlight Stylian Petrov's comeback to Aston Villa.Tim Sherwood called him to be a part of the coaching staff and I'm certain he'll help the team to avoid suffering this season. Very few people know the team as him. Plenty of the players are ex teammates of him and there is no doubt he has a winning mentality. Both on the pitch and on life he has proved to be a tough guy and with a winning mentality that most people would dream to have. He surpassed his illness and he will be able to achieve everything he wants to.
Speaking of football, Petrov is an expert when it comes to reading matches and football in general. He was our captain and when he was a player he was like a coach for many of us. He was always there to help his teammates, he gave instructions to make the team better and he didn't hesitate when he had to get in charge of the team to lead any situation.
Also, he can be of great help to the players as Petrov is one of those persons that you want to listen to. His message will always impact and I have no doubt he will be a succesful coach.

This is just testament to how shoddy our team performances and tactics are. We need individual wonder goals to score.
