Jimzk5
Is it possible and how easy/time consuming would it be to upload my DVDs onto my lap top and transfer them onto my phones memory card to watch? And what realistically could I fit on a 16gb memory card? Thanks in advance
darrenm
Without knowing specifically about windows phone, normally it depends on the spec of the device what quality video it can play. For DVD, you can use something like DVD catalyst to then choose a profile for your specific phone. Otherwise, most thing support h.264 mpeg4 video so something free like handbrake could convert that for you.
Junxs
Did you manage to do this? Onother option (to save time) would be to set up a media server. Plex was free on windows phone when I was using the Nokia Lumia 625 couple of years ago. im sure theres other media servers available too. It's a lot easier, hassle free, way of doing things in my opinion. But I guess it depends on if you were going to be out of wifi then your way would make more sense.
Jimzk5
Yes I did manage to do it (well I have done one film so far, using handbrake) The reason is because I would be out of wifi range, its for a long haul flight in december so I have plenty of time to get it done. Thanks the help
