Scrollbar Disappearing

This may very well not be a site issue, and is an issue my end, but I can't fix it so thought I'd flag it up anyway.

 

Whenever I'm in a thread that has a YouTube video embedded in it, my scroll bar disappears on the right of the screen. Not the whole bar, just the grey bit that you drag up and down.

 

It's only a mild annoyance. I can still scroll, just not quickly.

 

As I said, it's probably somethign my end as it doesn't happen on my home laptop, just my work PC.

Only happens on this site. I'm using Chrome, Windows XP, cleared cache and history etc Doesn't happen on other browsers.

I think this is the key. Does it happen in "incognito" mode in Chrome?

and please remember "it only happens on this site" doesn't help unless you've actually tried every other website

No it doesn't happen in Incognito mode (hadn't checked until now)

 

Ok, what I meant was of the websites I use (of which some of the others are forums with embedded youtube videos) it doesn't happen on any others.

i.e. it's not auniversal problem I have with all forums, or all sites with embedded youtube videos etc

It's something in your chrome. Possibly an extension you've added. Incognito runs with no cache and (by default) all the plugins disabled.

Fair enough, I figured it might be.

 

I don't knowingly run any extensions but it's the work pc so they might automatically have something on there that does it,

If it's a work machine, it might also be proxy related.
