FLVillan Posted February 25 Posted February 25 Rest In Peace Big Man. Will never forget the 1977 League Cup final marathon, being behind the goal at Old Trafford when he thumped one in from what seemed like the halfway line and went on to lift the trophy as our captain. The team he captained was the foundation being set for the glory days just four years later. Holte Ender in the Sky. 4
onmeedson Posted February 25 Posted February 25 R.I.P Chris you gave us all you had and was a pleasure to have watched you play. HEITS
PaulC Posted February 25 Posted February 25 A villa legend. Signed from Luton when we were in the third division. Then promotion to div 2 and then to div 1, winning two league cups In the process. Suffered with Alzheimers in later years Sam's as Stan Bowles who passed away yesterday. RIP great man.
sheepyvillian Posted June 10 Posted June 10 I was just reading an article that listed the best Villa players, at centre - half, to play in the Premier League. For some reason I was reminded of big Chris who served us so well under RS. He, for me, is one of the best headers of a football I've seen in a Villa shirt. 1
