Who has ever urgently needed 2 different types of file, or 2 different types of wire cutters? Or a very small and impractical saw? They've always just seemed like a bit of a gimmick to me. I'd rather spend the money on a handful of decent tools and a toolbox to keep in the boot. I have a motorhome that is around the same age as my daughter, I keep a tool set for bigger jobs on it but sometimes is pissing down outside and I dont want to get the toolbox when I need to do something, a multi tool is perfect. This implies that I rate a strong 8 on the man scale. The jobs in the van vary from change batteries on fairy lights or change a fuse. These jobs are always small.
