This isn't an issue I'm looking to get fixed as I don't think it's possible. But quoting is such a massive ballache on the new site I thought I'd set up a thread for any tips from anyone who might be able to get their head around it.
Limpid posted a link previously that had some guides and explanations for how the editor worked, but I couldn't find much in there about quoting.
Basically, if you quote a post with a quote tree in it, it seems impossible to snip anything. So if I quote a string of quotes, but only want to include the last quote in my post, I can't snip the rest of the post by deleting stuff.
On the previous version of the site you could use the source button to do it manually, but that's not an option now anymore.
Has anybody mastered quoting and can offer some pearls of wisdom here? Because as far as I can tell, quoting is ****.
