MOTD is not perfect (bad puns, football cliches, dull dreary retired pundits, annoying shouty commentators,chappers, no sense of perspective, never invite a ref to give his or her viewpoint, bants, constantly cross adverting other BBC shows, etc, etc)- but it would be far, far, far, better than what ITV would offer. Namely about 30% less coverage and 50% more on Manchesterpool FC. Don't forget 20 minutes of adverts. Leaving the rest of us about 5 minutes to watch just the goals from the other 7 or 8 games that day. MOTD is a million times better than "The Premiership" ever was.
