    ^^ really don't see this. If Wigan win against Swansea (likely) and beat us (likely) and we don't get any points out of our last 2 games (likely) then Wigan go ahead of us.

    The only team I can see going down instead of us is Norwich

    I think you are all being harsh. Yes, his defensive play was not good today, however, he looked very confident going forward. He played a lovely ball down the line to gabby and also he played a lovely ball into benteke in the middle just outside the box.

    Thought Bennett was pretty poor at defending today, but he sends over a good cross into the penalty box.

     

    Pity he gets played as a defender really.  :bang:

    Disagree. On numerous occasions Bennett was putting his body on the line to block crosses, and he was quite successful. Also, great cross in to Benteke today

    I agree - I think he has taken too long to settle on his best team

     

    Assuming no injuries I think he will go

    with Given, Clark, Baker, Holman, Ireland, Gabby & Bent on the bench

     

    I think that might just be enough to see us safe but injuries could kill us

     

    A couple of decent signings or even loanees are badly needed

    That would be my starting Line up. Don't think we would get relegated with that team.

    He's very tenacious and always demands the ball, I like the lad a lot. His only real problem is his tendency to go for the miracle ball from deep too often.

    Don't post here often, but never understand this criticism. Whenever I watch Bannan, his long balls normally always go to one of our players.

    Bannan: everyone on here thinks he's the messiah, but he's VERY overrated.

    How the hell can you say that? Came on and played two brilliant long balls to both Ireland and Gardner, although the latter was incorrectly judged offside. Nobody in our team can do that.
