What do mean "why does it matter"? It does matter because we have free will and must use it to "try" our best to fight the sin..Believing in Jesus, asking forgiveness, doing our best to understand and to live the way our lord wants is all thats asked.... No it dosnt matter if you sin...Thats expected. But what matters is the turning away from God.

Satan is very powerful..Yet he dosnt win, it says so in the bible...Everything that has happened so far is in the bible..The way it has all panned out, is in the bible. Why would the last part change? The bible is the story of life..From start to finish. It hasnt been easy for God..But all through it he has stood by his creation. The flood may have seemed drastic but again ,it was to save the creation.. The fight in the universe is over the creation..One wants to save it/keep it(God)...The other is out to destroy it/take control of it(Satan)..

So it was a grand failure then? Mankind is still pretty sinful. I thought he was infallible? Not only that, his omniscience means he knew it would fail before it failed. It means he knew the flood would fail (so why bother doing it?) but it didn't stop him from committing watery genocide anyway. So it seems that when staring complete and utter failure in the face, this God still goes ahead and fails anyway. He's not only immoral but a complete **** moron. He's all power and the creator of all things including the rules that define original sin and yet he can't overrule them. He defined his own demise and then blamed it on his creation so he's a **** coward too. I hope I meet the guy some day so I can kick him in the bollocks. Sin is in the world..There is no failure on any part because in the end God wins. Its like I said.. Try to imagine 2 great forces beyond the universe playing a game of chess. Good v Evil. 1st move, God creates. 2nd move, Evil puts sin into the creation to destroy it. 3rd move, (you cant undo the move played by Evil, you can only try and counteract it) So God comes down as man, thus becoming one of us, he lives and feels as a man. He dies which means the sin is pointless. The wage for sin is paid..It was the mother of all moves in this game of chess. God made a move to save his creation even though we sin.We are saved through Jesus Christ. 4th move(this is my guess), Evil possess Mohammed,thus producing the Koran which is brilliant in the way it works to gain control of the creation. It was made to spread fast and hard it takes the creation away from Jesus. A coward? You go through the life Jesus went through..

Psalms is the 19th book of the bible. Where does it say he created the devil/angels in the creation story? Isaiah is not talking about an angel but you would no that if you had properly read, researched and understood the bible. Don't tell me you make the mistake of taking metaphors in the bible literally? Why does it have to be mentioned in the creation story for mankind?

Bickster, Because its not you...Its mankind. We were God's creation and he loves us...Evil put sin into mankind..The only wage for sin is death. God had to(well he didnt have to but he loves his creation) come to earth as a man and die to fulfill that wage and save his creation.

Why would a false prophet be any other religious entity that didn't claim to worship God and his son Jesus. A false prophet would be an entity of Christendom that mimicked Jesus' teachings. The False Prophet is the sum of all the so called Christian faiths that have falsely claimed to be followers of Jesus. It can't be referring to Islam because Muslims do not claim to be followers of Jesus. Get away from me, YOU workers of lawlessness" This scripture makes a beeline for a singular "false Prophet"...I know it says in the bible beware of false prophets...But it just make a point of this one as in a powerful/singular, he is mentioned in the same breath as Satan. Islam is taught to not believe Jesus died for our sins..Yet Jesus gave his life for our sins to save us..The only way to salvation is through belief in Jesus.. Muslims follow the same God as Christians and Jews. The Kuran states; the god of Islam is the God of Christians and Jews

These are the ones who are beside the road where the word is sown; and when they hear, immediately Satan comes and takes away the word which has been sown in them. Good post. Ive seen lots of answers to this question all over the net...Its one ive wanted researched myself. Im actually still researching and thinking on it.. What I think personally "at this stage"(as I like to keep probing) is that there was always going to be an opposition. You cannot have happy without sad etc.. In a kiddie sense, I see 2 great minds playing chess..God(on our side) v Evil.. God creates was the 1st move. Evil destroys was the 2nd move. God combats the destruction of his creation with Jesus 3rd move. Evil ? Its stupid in a way I know...But life seems to be dirt and clean..Happy and sad etc.. But then comes the question who said clean was clean, who said dirt was dirt..Happy is happy etc...

If you wanted to put a percentage on the historical accuracy of the entirety I would say 15% max. If you believe different you have been successfully brainwashed. There are some hilarious flaws in bible accounts that come about from multiple translations that people because they are so blindly indoctrinated can not take them for what they are. Really? How old did you say Noah was again? oh yeah 480 years old when he started and it took 120 years. Certainly seems possible to me. Adam and Eve were perfect, the world was new.. Why would they die young? Decay, death, sin, disease, etc only entered the world through Adam when he sinned. The blood line following on from Adam would have still been very close to the perfect being, hence people living a lot longer.. Makes perfect sense.. The average age in people lowered over time..It started high then started to decline..

Do you think it is realistic to expect mankind to have entirely figured out the entire scientific process and stages of evolution and have provided fossil evidence to support it, despite the fact fossils are as Bicks has pointed out rather limited. Can you explain where dinosaurs sit within the creation story, or how about neanderthal's? Did Noah include a couple of them on his ark? I struggle to see how anyone can dismiss science because there might be a few gaps here or there in favour of total belief in a book that was written 2000 years ago. A book that has been edited and changed throughout the ages to bend man's will to the power of an elite few. You may well be right that there are areas to be questionned and further studied within the process of evolution, we will likely never have all the answers. The dinosaurs lived with man, this is mentioned in the bible. Why couldnt they go on the Ark? where's the holes in the bible on this matter? Most of the dinosaurs came from eggs, does the bible say Noah took fully grown animals on the Ark? If so, I havnt read or seen that..Also in the bible, God chose the animals and delivered them to Noah...It was up to God which animals were to be saved. And I think if God could create a universe, delivering a few animals to the Ark wouldnt have been difficult....Aslo, if you think dinosaurs are millions of years old, why? Have you researched it? Or do you just believe what a bunch of old scientists and the media have told you?

Defending the bible and getting people to understand it is easy...But to get people to understand flaws in science is hard. For too long we have been subjected to the belief of evolution and that we came from fish, monkeys etc.. Ive tried to explain the gene pool dosnt fit for macroevolution,which is what would happen to change into a different species.. The fossil records dont fit. etc..
