  1. Crap article Bicks.. Just some guy looking to belittle a very educated man..He adds his pathetic thoughts which dont match the personality of Wise.
  2. http://www.answersingenesis.org/articles/isd/kurt-wise Just thought I would post this up as it has relevance to the topic of Noah and a young earth belief. Its a good read no matter how you take it, or which side of the fence you sit.. In a way it shows the power of science v the power of religion. The last sentence is worth noting; "if all the evidence in the universe turned against creationism, I would be the first to admit it, but I would still be a creationist because that is what the Word of God seems to indicate." Obviously "if" and "but" being the key words...

  4. Makes you question the evidence and its strength if its that easy to turn your back on. We are not talking the odd Tom and Dick thats watched Horizon a couple of times...We talking people that have studied, probed and delved right into the heart of this subject...Not you, not me, people WHO KNOW WHAT THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT! How strong is this evidence if so many bleeding scientists are turning their backs on it?
  5. JAMES ALLAN Ph.D. in genetics from the University of Edinburgh, former senior lecturer in genetics at the University of Stellen Bosch in South Africa “As a biologist in the field of population and quantitative genetics, I had believed in the theory of evolution for nearly 40 years. ... When, at a fairly advanced stage of my career, I became a Christian I began to read the Bible reverently and as intelligently as I was able. ... I must admit that the six days of the creation presented some difficulty for me. The apparent logic of conclusions from observations and measurements in various fields of science had previously led me to doubt the little I had known of the Word of God, to the extent that I had agreed with attempts to replace it with analternative concept of God. But God does not say aeons or years or months or weeks--he says days, and we generally understand days to be 24-hour periods. I then realized that had God wanted to say a billion years rather than six days, He could have said it ... I now believe that God means literally what He says and writes, and that there is no reason to look for symbolism. ... It is also clear to me that if one wishes to believe in the theory of evolution, a great deal of Scripture, including Jesus’ own spoken word (Matt. 19:4; 25:34; Mark 13:19; John 5:46-47), has to be discounted, so, whom must we believe, God or man? I believe that God gives us the answer when He says, ‘Stop trusting in man, who has but a breath in his nostrils. Of what account is he?’ (Isa. 2:22)” PAUL BACK D.Phil. in engineering science from Oxford University “In my early teens, I began to develop an interest in science and often read books on science. I came across an article on evolution and the writer excitedly explained that with the finding of the Piltdown skull, all arguments against our evolutionary links to apes had been settled. This article left me with two clear thoughts. First, evolution is true and second, that only an unscientific fool could possibly think otherwise. Once I reached university, I no longer went to church and decided that Christianity was irrelevant to life. ... I came across a book by Whitcomb and Morris titled The Genesis Flood that, in my mind, began to unravel the seemingly impregnable fortress of evolutionary dogma. Evolutionism was not the only explanation. The book inspired me to dig deeply into the whole edifice of evolutionism, and the more I dug, the more it seemed that it was built on sand--on wishful thinking, on gross extrapolations of observations that could better be interpreted from a creation worldview. The other significant thing I noticed was the anger and animosity of evolutionists that was directed against those who dared to challenge their viewpoint. My studies led me to the ever greater conviction that evolutionism was a deeply flawed theory."
  6. Despite strong pressure to accept evolutionism, many intelligent and experienced scientists either openly or secretly dismiss Evolution as highly unlikely or impossible. In the 1980s, researcher and lecturer David Watson noted an increasing trend that continues today, disturbing those who want evolutionism to be perceived as the accepted scientific consensus: As Science Digest reported: "Scientists who utterly reject Evolution may be one of our fastest-growing controversial minorities… Many of the scientists supporting this position hold impressive credentials in science." 3 One example is the late Dr. Arthur E. Wilder-Smith, an honored scientist with an amazing three earned doctorates. He held many distinguished positions. 4 A former Evolutionist, Dr. Wilder-Smith debated various leading scientists on the subject throughout the world. In his opinion, the Evolution model did not fit as well with the established facts of science as did the Creation model of intelligent design. "The Evolutionary model says that it is not necessary to assume the existence of anything, besides matter and energy, to produce life. That proposition is unscientific. We know perfectly well that if you leave matter to itself, it does not organize itself - in spite of all the efforts in recent years to prove that it does."
  7. Real scientists? so the qualifications and kappa membership dont qualify? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phi_Beta_Kappa_Society
  8. John, I cant be bothered. But thats easily explained. Risso, Look up the RIGHT university...Its located in Brighton. Not that it matters. Im worn out....You guys win...I cant be bothered to keep refuting everything you say with posting links to proper qualified people in the said field to explain the whys and hows. All I can say to rest of you reading this thread...Just keep an open mind and dont believe all see in the media and on TV....Remember they once told us Weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, what a load of bollox that was. They dont know sh1t! Proper new age scientists(not just your old foggies of yesteryear) are more and more turning to creation(of some sort) due to flaws in evolution. They search in the bible and see it has substance not to be denied. Good luck in your travels....And Julie dont let them grind you down...They know Jack Sh1t!
  9. Bickster, He got a lot of his information and research for that article from another 2 scientists..One of whom was Jerry Bergman who obtained a Ph.D in Human Biology in 1992.
  10. Names not on the list. Michael Behe http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_Behe Micheal Denton http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_Denton Karl Popper http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Karl_Popper Fred Hoyle http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fred_Hoyle
  11. There is no evidence to counter Creationists claims. The constancy of the decay rates of isotopes is well supported in science. Evidence for this constancy includes the correspondences of date estimates taken from different radioactive isotopes as well as correspondences with non-radiometric dating techniques such as dendrochronology, ice core dating, and historical records. Although scientists have noted slight increases in the decay rate for isotopes subject to extreme pressures, those differences were too small to significantly impact date estimates. Yes. There. Is. In fact I will give you a rather quick, easy to understand example. The male urethra travels through the prostate gland on its path from the bladder to the external meatus of the penis. The prostate gland swells over time in a process known as BPH, or benign prostate hyperplasia, which results in a constriction of the urethra and a consequential difficulty in passing urine. This stasis of urine can lead to urinary tract infections such as urethritis, cystitis and, if left untreated, pyelonephritis. Now, this BPH is not a disease in itself, it is a natural part of male human physiology and a simple consequence of ageing. Which begs the question - what kind of intelligent God would put a flexible tube through a gland that swells with time? Why not just put it to the side? What a stupid thing to do. This is just ONE example of fundamental structural flaw in the human body. If we had truly been designed by God we would be flawless in structure, even if we are susceptible to disease now that we've 'sinned'. One day you, like 99% of men, will have great trouble pissing, on that day you can thank God for a truly wonderful design. edit: In case you didn't get it, let me summarise - the evidence against intelligent design by God is in your own body!! My very good friend Dr J. Sarfati could answer this for you..Not sure if he is on the list...Can we add him if not? http://creation.com/the-prostate-gland-is-it-badly-designed

  13. The earth is said to round in the bible.. Where's this overwhelming body of evidence that world is as old as evolutionists tell us it is? And please dont tell me its the flawed radiometric dating..
  14. :? EDIT it gets better muhaha Thats it, you laugh...Read it all, then read the evolutionist's theory..The earth billions of years old? lol Life forms from the Cambrian explosion(caused by the flood) which have eyes and fully formed..Evolutionists think they are millions of years old..Which dosnt make sense...Millions of fully formed life forms reproducing for millions of years to get a world like we have today? Have you seen our planet? It would be far more crowded that it is, in the seas on deserted islands etc, our planet is young. The sun is young(check it out), mercury is young(check it out), the moon is young(check it out).. Then there's the strata layers which evolutionist's think defines miilions of years(so to speak) one after another, each layer is said to donate millions of years...Yet we have polystrate fossil trees and animals, which are living things that stretch through the layers. Also a global flood gives far better evidence of how the layers came about...Small creatures at the bottom, larger higher up...Think about it in a catastrophic global flood what would happen? The small creatures would naturally be the ones to struggle in the landslides and mass underwater currents, quickly being buried..The larger creatures and land creatures would swim or make to higher ground, being drowned after and on top of the smaller creatures. http://www.space.com/12658-moon-younger-lunar-age-evidence.html http://creation.com/mercurys-magnetic-field-is-young http://www.icr.org/article/evidence-for-young-sun/
  15. Alternately mate you read this.It covers the flood in good detail. http://www.clarifyingchristianity.com/creation.shtml#different Unlike many others that preceded us, we attempted to find a clear defense of evolution for two reasons: To keep from being accused of bias. To keep from making claims that someone could refute later.
  16. I like this bit best http://www.talkorigins.org/indexcc/authors.html

  18. You wouldnt have a link to that please Brum? I would like to take a look. By the way, the rape, incest stuff etc can all be explained on various web sites...Just google and research it...Ive seen it all before. Its all explained.
  19. This web site might give some answers as to the canopy Julie was refering to; http://www.clarifyingchristianity.com/creation.shtml
  20. Dont be daft Kiwi...You keep saying im the stupid one.. You are now coming across as a guy that slates the bible without having the understanding of it.. Do you seriously think I couldnt post up a 1000 web sites to explain the web link's contradictions you have just posted up? Do some homework on the other side of the coin..
  21. Brum, There are no mistakes or contradictions in the bible..Just lack of understanding by the reader. Before you start posting up loads of passages, please google them and get them explained...If you get stuck, post up the ones you get stuck on....I will be amazed if you find any.
  22. Its quite funny that today animals, Birds etc possess this instinct to detect floods etc and naturally escape before they happen. Humans dont have it....Ahhhhh its just a coincidence isnt it? Ever wonder where it came from in the its 1st instance? Funny how the bible states that God will bring the animals to thee to keep alive. Just one slip up there by saying Noah was to collect all the animals could have put the bible in jeopardy..But like all the Bible there are no silly mistakes like that.. Oh and wow, no ships that size were ever built in those days, yet the dimensions are pretty sound in today's engineering calculations.. Once again its amazing the knowledge these people had considering they spent all their lives trotting around on donkeys.
  23. http://www.icr.org/article/how-did-noah-gather-animals/
  24. The reason people lived longer in Genesis is because Adam was made perfect. Death entered the world with sin. Noah and the people of Genesis were close to the genetic line of Adam.
