At the end of the day we're only behind due to a freak goal.

But that's only half of the story.  We've been absolutely battered.

I'm so sick of our totally non existent midfield. They're not defending and they're not attacking.  Southampton are pouring through our lines, they're dominating the edge of the box, they're just waiting for the next thunderbolt from just outside the edge of the box after a layoff.

Our defence are last ditch on everything, but when they do win the ball they've got no options on so it's a hopeful punt over the midfield heads which is immediately won back by Southampton (or as its been all season whoever we're playing) who head or launch it back and win every second ball because midfield are again nowhere.

Occasionally Bailey gets the ball out wide and there is no one anywhere.

We look like we're playing with 6 me.  It almost looks impossible for them to be so nowhere.

Every goal we concede is a freak apparently!

The thing that has made me lose faith is simply how our tactics have morphed into pure Pulisball without physicality or aggression.

At least we can now launch a long ball into the penalty area from a throw in!

    Something that puzzles me…

None of us really knows how Purslow, Lange, Suso, Smith, Terry, ROK, Shakespeare, and so on break down in terms of responsibility for what’s happened.

We have a rough idea, but we don’t know (eg) who drove the Ings signing, who thought we could cope without another DM, who signed off on Wesley, etc.

So given how hard it is to work out what’s happening at our own club. How are people so confident that they know how good Graham Potter is?

We’ve been here before when Lambert arrived with plenty of promise, as a highly rated manager of a lower half PL side.

You look at Benitez and Ancelotti at Everton, both Champions League winners, and maybe that gives a hint of the complexity of the challenge.

I’d obviously take a better coach with a better win % and some trophies to his name. Of course I would. But I guarantee it’ll be the same people here in a year or so saying we need to sack him and bring in the next flavour of the month manager. It’s just so predictable.

You do realise Smith has been in post 3 years! It's not like Villa fans are reknowned for turning on their manager after just a few months in charge and our owners are trigger happy!

Yeah, they will get the best out of the existing roof. They are much better homeowners apparently.

I think they would probably want to implement their own roof with new insulation too. Get the right structure in place so to speak.

You are the reason B&Q are b*****ds who won't let me get a screw for my toilet without buying a new one.

To be honest it's been leaking since last Christmas but so called experts told me to be patient and not have a knee jerk reaction and then the situation would improve. After all, the roof had been ok in the previous 2 years.

  6. I have a hole in my roof and the rain is coming in and soaking the loft insulation. I'm going to put a bucket in the loft to catch the rain and see if things get better over the next month or so. If they don't then I'll get the roof fixed.

So we just need to replace Smith with someone else who's a complete disaster then get in Mourinho in 4 months.

    It's a plan and I like it.

Spurs owners realised in double quick time that Nuno wasn't right and acted to rectify it. Our owners are no better than Lerner when it comes to acting at the right time and they will no doubt leave it until it's too late and relegation is inevitable.

  8. After Spurs sacked Nuno after just 4 months and 10 games with them sitting 8th in the table then surely there could be no one that would be shocked if Smith got sacked after 3 years with us sitting just 3 points and places above the relegation zone!

    Give me strength.

Your opinion is that the board should make the decision to sack Dean Smith. Yet when someone asked who should replace Dean Smith, you said it isn't your job to do that.

The point I made is that you are happy to think for the board and sack Dean Smith, but not think for the board and suggest a replacement.

You're angry, and not thinking straight. Let's leave it now.

You really are a confused individual. I think TRO and OutByEaster have put it in simple terms that maybe even you can understand
