Reo-Coker was quality for Wimbledon/MK Dons and then quality for West Ham in the Championship and then quality again for them in the Premiership. Gardner certainly isn't as good as NRC just yet, and hasn't done as much in his career. That's not to say he can't become as good a player.

General, Fun but serious suggestion here - when the new kit is released, can you be one of the models for it?

After the glowing reviews of his performances for Ireland, I think young Mr. O'Halloran is knocking on that door. If Bouma picks up a serious knock though, is he ready for a regular spell of games for us?

Maybe not. So you think we should buy half the WBA first team to take us to the top? There's a nice, happy middle-ground between those two extremes and that's where you'll find me. Probably where you'll find me too when I'm talking with more sense and less dreams, but which are the extremes? Do you mean buy one or two from WBA instead of half the team and none from them, or somewhere between WBA-players or world class players? I'm between the latter of the two, if you see what I mean. The argument that I was originally referring to was that about quality from the lower leagues. In terms of my being placed in the centre-ground what I mean is that I neither thank that all players from the championship ae useless because they play in the championship, nor do I think that we should buy half the WBA squad. There are players in the Championship who are good enough to improve Prem sides. A number of real gems have come from the lower leagues. Whether they are at WBA or not is another issue altogether. In fairness, those 4 plus a goalkeeper would cover us where needed and boost the quality of the squad significantly.

I think we'll sign about 6 players. The difference being of course, that the players we sell will have been doing significantl less for the first team than the expected contribution of the players brought in.

How about both? I think there is a problem in fitting them into the team, Petrov already occupies one of the centre midfield spots so reasonably we need one other player to fit in beside him and ultimately replace McCann. We need someone who can play the killer pass, someone who will score 10 goals in season. But the arguement against is, the midfield would be prone to attack, which would give our defence a problem so, yes you could buy both but that would mean having to consider dropping Petrov and will MoN do this, hmmmm im not sure he will I think MON will play Barry in the middle next season alongside Petrov /a new signing. This new signing is needed for competition i.e. in place of McCann. When MON talks about a squad I don't think he is waffling, he means it. This means dropping Petrov if necessary. NRC would be a very decent signing.

I think we need to be solid in the middle and then our flair can from the wings and if needed, the bench. A midfield of: Taylor - Barry - Reo-Coker - Young Would dominate most teams. Both Barry and NRC can both attack and defend and we would also have the options of Petrov, Gardner, Berger and Maloney if we wanted another approach.

Alan Smith. What's more, I think if you played Smith regularly and he kept fit he'd get you 15 goals a season.
