  1. why is anyone supporting mclown for the job being seen as a blue nose?? couldent it just being that i loved to see england fail hard and also likes twente??

Seeing England fail hard is maybe a bit of a giveaway. You want us to fail hard? You think the Wally's problems of coming into a pampered Sven squad not playing very well as a team do not reflect our situation?

McClaren supporters, please see this appointment would be madness...

  2. Please....I....I can't take it any more.....no more mention.....of Steve McClaren....

This has given me an idea on how a small but determined pro-Benitez faction could prevail.

Keep mentioning McLaren and suggesting he is the most likely appointment. Keep evoking images of him sheltering under an umbrella on the Villa Park touchline as we lose at home to Stoke or Blackburn.

Eventually, as the more favoured candidates are ruled out, and the McLaren Fear Factor kicks in, the majority will turn to Rafa with open arms and clamour for him. And the board will listen.

That's the way to do it. Few will listen to the all-important facts of Benitez's managerial record. But if they think it's between him and the umbrella man...

Although I really don't want FSW, I must admit that this tactic is genius...Normandy has seen through your ruse people..

  3. I've waited for this moment from the second we signed him. Couldn't stand watching him play for England, a total waste of time. When we signed him I was stomping around pissed off for weeks. It was exactly like early 00's England: "Yes, but he's a managers player, he holds it up well, it's what you don't see him do..." etc etc etc.

The simple matter for him is this: Emile Heskey is a striker that does not score goals.

  4. posted on a Fulham site:

"Per Radio 5 (Pat Murphy) Mark Hughes had a 1 day window which ended yesterday at midnight to effect his get out clause with FFC. As such he would have to walk out on his contract with FFC. Pat Murphy understands that in view of these circumstances Mark Hughes will stay at FFC and his sources reveal the new Villa manager is down to:

    David Moyes

    Rafa Benetiz

    Steve Mclaren

This is the latest position and I understand Pat Murphy is well placed Midlands football reporter."

not sure how true this is but it is interesting.

This is so **** depressing. Out of the three on that "source", 2 of those are the only names being banded about that I REALLY, REALLY don't want. Spanish Waiter and Wally in the Brolly are truly awful appointments considering that Ancelloti is now looking. Moyes is clearly not coming, for all his veiled grumbles about the Everton board he's still happy there.

  5. SHA forum. About page three, on a thread entitled, rather aptly, "Villa Talk"

Remember to hold your breath if you go on there though.

-Correction. Page 8. Last post two days ago.

They've been on here a good while . TRS-T dropped a massive clanger as you well know and I'm pretty sure I've clocked another one, but I'm gonna let them dig themselves into a hole first . When you know what to look for they become a little easier to spot.

Just remember scumbags....Your greatest moment ...We've done it 5 times.

And yes your kids may have seen your paedophile ring of a football team win a cup , but then again none of our kids have suffered the constant humiliation of multiple relegations either .

We saw you crying on the telly !!!! We saw you crying on the telly !!!!!

Carson Yeung = Virra Regend !!!!!

The highlight of that thread was you owning TRS-T.

I await futhur details. It's a shame that rats leave sinking ships and don't just go down with it.

  6. South Birmingham is not blues. I'm originally from South West Birmingham and Harborne/Edgbaston/Quinton/Selly Oak is about a 60/40 in Villa's favour. Doesn't matter anyway, because the city is now -definitely- ours.

Islington - definitely Claret & Blue???

Islington is Claret and Blue now, 'cos I live there. Plus I've bumped into a few Villa now and then...getting a small north London posse together since I been here!

The thing I love about the Lyon kit is that Lion Rampant sewn on the back of the collar. Would love that to be incorporated into our next shirt.

Agreed, addidas have got Lyon's spot on with this. But, regards to rampant lion on the back of the collar - 2006/2007 Nike home Villa kit?

  8. There's some hit and miss here.

    Juventus away is terrible.

Everton's looks really good, I like the sort of mid-90s retro.

The Barca one is obviously fake. It looks like someone has ironed on a logo printed off their computer. I concour with Wainy, Qatar can **** off.
