I’ve said it before, but personally I see no point in setting the draft order based on last season’s record. I’m not that bothered really but it makes more sense to just have it randomised.
Point scoring wise, in a league as deep as this I think a true PPR format would be better to let receivers operate on a more even field with the backs.
Another enjoyable season. Great job @Beastmix

Well the squad is in Dubai right now so he won’t have far to travel when he inevitably links up with squad.

Did he cost over 100 million and still a young player.....
no.Mate he’s only 25 now. He was 21 back then.
I’m not saying it’s the same thing but you consider it was Wolves that he joined over the other teams that were after him, it tells you something about the influence agents have these days.

They are totally totally incomparable in almost every way.
Felix is a global star, a 130m euro player playing for one of the biggest sides in Europe and he’s 23.
Not a chance in a month of Sundays.
I’m not saying it’s gonna happen because it probably won’t. But we keep seeing these high reputation players who join Premier League teams from abroad who traditionally they would never have a shot at.
There must be a reason they’re willing to sell him too. He isn’t a global superstar, he hasn’t lived up to the hype at Atleti. For whatever reason.

Ruben Neves a relatively unknown at the time.
Felix is a 130m Euro megastar.
He was being linked to the biggest teams in the world. He went to WOLVES instead.

Not trying to be an opportunist, ( much) but Goncalo Ramos would be a good fit.
Newcastle were in for him but they got Isak instead. Sign him up.

Yep Felix doesn't leave there to come to Aston Villa.
Mendes managed to get Ruben Neves to Wolves

Oh I see. So like 90% of everyone who wasn't entitled to vote would have gone the other way and swung it. It was only the weird ones who were able to vote who had 77% who preferred it.
Get over yourself. An overwhelming majority wanted a round badge, the result would have been similar regardless of who was entitled to vote.
It's refreshing change, we haven't had a round badge for decades.
I was entitled to vote and personally preferred the round badge but wasn't really too bothered so I thought I would leave it up to others to vote.
You lot who are against the round badge are all coming across a bit Trumpish at the moment.
excuse me? i've said many times that the round badge was always going to win. it was obvious. i was just pointing out that there were a lot of people wanted the shield/gas lamp in isolation, and that it was frustrating being in that group because it was never going to win. clearly we were the much smaller majority. it might have been a little closer had there been a wider voting audience, but it's pretty cut and dry.

Yep and some people who didn’t want the round badge thought the majority agreed with them but they were wrong then and now.
i didn't see single person state that they thought the majority preferred option one. if they did, they were deluded.

Pretty much every poll on every social media site I’ve seen has the round badge winning so I don’t agree
i never said most didn't prefer it, they obviously did and was clearly always going to win. but lots of people did still prefer option one.

What? Most people preferred the round badge and have for years. People didn’t prefer the other one…
they did. not everyone was eligible to vote.
-
it's basically a worse version than chelsea's badge.
it just seems like a bit of a sham vote. annoying to have been presented with an option that lots of people preferred, when in reality it never stood a chance because of this almost "round at all costs" mentality.
-
i actually think i prefer the badge we have right now to the new one.

Could play as a striker
he did!
i feel like he could end up being our version of Heung-Min Son, someone who had a slow start for his first season or so in England but ended up being a key player.

25 years of age and that’s the first time I’ve seen us beat United at Villa park
Bit ridiculous when I think of it like that.
I'm 30 and never seen it. I was only 3!

Yep great point. There is surely very few options of where the badge shape would be unique….a shield is heavily used, a round badge is heavily used, without either is heavily used…I don’t see what is going to be so unique to make a difference and neither of the options is unique to argue they are differences between the two. This is just down to which you prefer.
To me, it’s not necessarily about how common the shape is. It’s what it represents, in that the circular badge has become the go-to style of stables like the City group who buy teams and make them look as much like Man City as possible without it being a 1:1 copy.

personally, i prefer that shade of claret to the more reddish-almost-browny one we sometimes have. looks more royal to me.

That shade of yellow also looks a lot better than the stronger shade I’ve seen in some images. Not sure how there seems to be two different versions in the first place.

They should’ve delayed the voting process for a week or so to try and give people time to make a more informed decision.
I bet a lot of people will have been so focused on a round badge that they never even gave option 1 a chance and voted impulsively, and might come around to it.

is a lot more striking and modern while also representing our history.
no contest for me.
if you're a new fan of the league who wants to pick a team, which one's gonna grab your attention more?

we've shown earlier in the season that we can match up with the vikings but i'd still say we were underdogs.
