  1. So okay General you turn down McClaren, now you get someone with a worse CV - no offense to Martinez, yes he is young but he's certainly not good enough, if you are wanting to compete, Rafas transfer budget was realistic, you or Randy might not like to hear it, but its realistic - We go from Benitez to Martinez, do me a favour. and while we appreciate you like to do business incognito style, a statement is needed General, as a lot of us are getting fed up. We want to be winning things - not be a bank disguised as a football club, or a feeder club.
  2. I hope he turns it down for his own sake, he's not ready.
  3. Sorry Martinez not good enough - no ambition in this club what so ever, complete and utter farce, the Villa's a joke - enjoy the mid table finishes and odd relegation scraps! Now we know why Doug sold to Randy Lerner, reminded him of his younger self! We're a football club, not a **** bank.
  4. Whelan expects Martinez to turn the job down as he feels he owes something to Wigan, so the article in the Sun and the bullshitter Mat Kendrick's article will contain that, so its just a teasing article again. GIVE IT TO RAFA.
  5. For goodness sake Randy just give it to Rafa, you gave **** O'Neill 100million over four years - it'll be worth it. Accprding to the Telegraph, Whelan doesn't think Martinez will take the job, he only let us talk to him out of the courtesy we showed Wigan.
  6. Rafa was told to do one apparently.
  7. Who are dunne and collins to take the piss? And why would this be an issue? they bloody useless anyway! Our defenders - and we need somebody who knows discipline to keep them under wraps, Martinez certainly not.
  8. We also need a man who can convince players to stay, Martinez is not the guy - for goodness sake Randy.
  9. Plus Dunne and Collins will be taking the piss.
  10. Anyone that gets thumped 9-1 8-0 and 6-0 in the short space of under a year is simply not good enough.
  11. No I'm sorry his win ratio is 26%, Martinez not good enough, time to make your voices heard again - go abroad Randy owners in other countries have played in the Premier League or some serious questions regarding your ownership of the club will be asked. No to Martinez. Anyone who gets thumped 9-1 8-0 and 6-0 in a short space of a year is simply not good enough.
  12. Just so you know, Martinez's CV is worse than McClarens.
  13. I want to echo this. We have complete trust you will bring the right person in. Also echoed and apologies for the McClaren rant General, but its McClaren But this better be worth it General - not Martinez/Coyle or whatever otherwise again I fear for attendances - any of those then questions will be asked of the board and you may get the odd 'Randy Out' crap. *holds hostage*
  14. now that would be serious meltdown!! Even if Randy was to pay the £13mill buy-out clause to Porto, i think he's way above us already, and so doubt that he would come to Villa. but you never know :winkold: Nope you never know at all
  15. Aston Villa? - Its SIMPLE Andre Villas-Boas
  16. Randy Lerner is the Bin Laden of the Premier League, he's won the Premier League on keeping things extremely low key.
  17. Nice to see the fans reaction to McLaren was taken into account General, in Randy we trust! - and if its Rafa granted not everyones cup of tea but he's a proven winner.
  18. Rafa is a proven winner, we're going to be judged by the cretins who don't want him, he's a top manager. And we tried the whole 'younger talent' approach we can only bring in 2 or 3 in every so often, but all the time, it wouldn't work, so Coyle/Martinez can sod off.
  19. I think Mat Kendrick and Tim have been fed red herrings personally - I think its Rafa.
  20. To be fair Tim, you don't know Villa might have fed you a red herring, and you are just stirring to sell your paper.
  21. Glad Rafa has been approached, he's a proven winner, not everyones cup of tea but I'd take him.
  22. Ranieri - wouldn't be a bad one actually, guided Chelsea to a 2nd place finish which at the time was their highest ever finish in a number of years, as well as CL qualification.
  23. The Turdian also hyped up Gareth Bale going to Inter Milan for 40million. I'm going to take a pop at Claudio Ranieri.
  24. For the 3423424th time - Bookies odds are only saying who the people are putting their money on - doesn't mean its going to happen, and some bookies suspend betting at night.
  25. Rafa for me, don't care how he goes about it - he grinds out results, tired of this 'full of british' approach.
