I think he means if a player signs a 4 year contract and wants to leave after year 2, tough luck. Don't sign a 4 year deal if you don't want to stay for 4 years. They're just greedy. Signing a 4 year deal gives them 4 guarenteed years of financial security at that salary. So when a bigger offer comes along, they want out, so they can sign on for 4 years guarenteed at a higher salary. ah yeah i see now thanks and yeah i agree again! its all greed. ^ i'd be happy with ireland+hart+10m or ireland+another player from city+12m no chance with Hart,he's worth as much to them as Milner is to us,we'll be lucky to walk away with 20m over all imo.. yeah i guess your right but i'd still take ireland though.

yeah i agree, I defiently want a player in return for milner.

that's all fair and well.... but what happens if the player wants to actually move? fair enough as a club we tell them to get lost but if the player wants to actually move... then we really have no choice.

Bollocks and you know it, this money thing is an easy thing to throw at Milner. Lets take this summer, have Villa/MON shown any ambition in making the lad think Villa are serious, at this current moment in time Milner looks at Man City and see's Silva, Toure walk through the door adding to the fact they have Tevez, Bellamy and must think this team is serious about trying to win things, whereas us its more graft like, we work bloody hard to finish 6th, if Man City perform to their potential, it'll be fighting for the title, the only saving grace we have is i don't believe City have the right manager in place but that can be easily rectified ala Spurs. We have signed no-one and bloody look like signing no-one and to i don't want to start having a go at the board but it seems like a coincidence with the rumours of financial troubles, the General has disappeared. I see what your saying and I agree with you on most points espicially the signings that we haven't done (im equally as frustrated by that) but do you honestly think money plays no part if he moves to man city?

i agree i'd like ireland part of that milner deal and those rumours about us signing those croatian players (one striker + one midfielder) in a double transfer makes the villa future look a bit more healthier.

if milner wants out i'd rather he went as no player would want to perform if they never liked the club so i'd rather he had out and we bought someone on the same level or if not better instead! edit : this Mario Mandzukic rumour is it true he's signed? is he any good?

Are we actually going to sign anyone this summer? I know we're waiting on the WC to finish or atleast wait for england to come home but some clubs already have signed players out there. I just don't want us to loose out on any signings which we could've potentional done during the WC - its frustrating thats all.
