We were not 'littered with second string players', come on. The only two players who started tonight who are genuinely second string were Lenglet and Dendoncker. Every team has injuries, it's December.

Like I said 3 out of the 11 wouldn't be starting... our best team was the one that played Man City off the park.

Our issue is all about squad depth, the big teams have it and we don't yet.

  2. A result of a tired team, littered with second string players and no depth on the bench to change things.

I would imagine Emery would have liked to go into that game with Torres, Tielemans and Kamara all starting over Lenglet, Ramsey and Denconcker.

Players will come back to fitness soon, and we have the chance to strengthen. Depth was always going to be our issue this season with the amount of games we have to play.

  3. Desperately need a defensive midfielder in this side.

A loss in midfield can't be deputised for at the moment; lose Luiz or Kamara like tonight and we are miles off the pace. Dendoncker just isn't good enough in there.

Personally would bring in Kalvin Phillips if possible, although he may cost us too much. Between him Luiz and Kamara we would have depth and players who can be used in other areas when required. It covers all areas and gives us quality.

  4. I think that anything new needs some time to settle with a fanbase.

The round badge for me was initially not right, I didn't like the lion facing to the right and wasn't sure the colour scheme was bright enough to stand out. I've now gotten used to the lion and think the badge looks very good within the PL lineup - possibly because I'm constantly looking at it in 3rd place in the league!

The other thing that has made it look worse than it could have been is the monochrome version of the badge on the training kit. It looks so much better in the below picture, but the problem they have is the lion is then not in colour.

I think it's a shame to move away from it so soon - and perhaps if we led with this throughout the club rather than holding onto the old crest, it would have been accepted even more.

I do wonder how long they will persevere. He’s undoubtedly done a great job but they’ve fallen off a cliff recently.

Has he lost part of the dressing room or is it the threadbare squad going beyond the limit?

Like someone mentioned earlier it's a combination of the threadbare squad and Howe persisting on trying to play the same way.

Pope is a big miss for them in goal and it's showing at the back. Tripper looks out on his feet most games as well.

Don't think we will, but if you were Emery, would you sacrifice a potential FA Cup run by playing the youth team against boro to focus on the ECL and title/top 4?

    Absolutely not.

If the game was midweek maybe, but it's a Saturday kick off with a week off coming up two weeks later.

We should be competing on all fronts.

Turns out AiMesh is a proprietary Asus technology. Bought a pair of Asus XD6 nodes which were dead easy to add to the network, pairing to the RT-AX82U router. Now have blazing-fast wifi all over the house.

I'm with Virgin, albeit business fibre, and had the same thing where the internet was dropping out. The technician came and told me that it was likely that the modem/router couldn't cope with so many devices and was overloading.

When I bought the ASUS router I just put the Virgin box into modem mode and I was away. The reach from the router itself is very good, but I play online games and the Xbox is in one of the farthest rooms so I wanted it as fast as possible everywhere.

I've wired the Xbox to the node so I get minimal interference from other devices too.

Thanks that's really useful, my Xbox is in the furthest room away as well. Will take a look at Asus XD6 Nodes.

  8. I would also be interested in the answer to @NurembergVillan question above, looking at a mesh wifi but have no idea where to start.

I'm using Virgin Media, but since installing a couple of Alexa's and smart plugs a few weeks ago by wifi connection seems to be dropping out all over the place. 250mb package with a fairly strong signal throughout the house so no idea what's going on. If anyone has any ideas I would appreciate the help?

  9. We're doing fine, absolutely no reason to lose our heads because Arsenal beat Luton - even though they were poor throughout.

4th in the league ahead of two fixtures against City and Arsenal is a dream scenario right now, it's two free hits at the big sides. They have a lot more on the line than we do right now.

After these games we've got a good run of games into the New Year where we can work on stockpiling more points. Keep the faith.

  10. Genuinally think Torres is the closest we've come to a centre back on the level of Paul McGrath.

Every game he's adapting to English football and stepping up a gear; he reads the game ahead of everyone else and is so confident on the ball. He's also one of the best passers of the ball on the pitch. Superb.

  11. Thought the atmosphere was good yesterday, it was loud in the Holte End for the majority of the game.

Wish they would stop playing the music though, the one that annoys me the most is straight after the final whistle when the players come over. Leave the music off and let the fans celebrate with the players.

I've been listening to a lot of the Undr the Cosh stuff, it's hosted by ex-players, and they get random ex-players and managers on.

2 of the best I've listened to so far were Si Ferry and Paul Caddis. The stories about Gravesen & Di Canio are brilliant.

I do find the 3 hosts a little bit annoying, at times they try to be overly funny, they should just keep stum and let the story telling do it's thing.

Anyway, reason I mention it is John Gregory is the latest episode. I absolutely love that bloke, just listened to the whole thing this morning, brilliant. He loves this club and is easily my fave every manager in my time supporting us.

    Deffo worth checking out.

Nice one I'll listen to that tomorrow!

Listen to the Mark Crossley one, I reckon it's the best one.
