  1. Unlucky Everton, you battered those bastards today and if that dumb linesman didn't call Saha offside when he was blatantly onside you'd of been 2-0 and cruising. I still don't think you can catch us, we're 17 points ahead now :winkold:

  2. Shocking treatment to Hughes, althoug he became an arrogant clearing in the woods for no real reason. So glad we have an owner that knows the game of football and things can't be turned around in 4 months of a season. Hope Barry's enjoying himself up there!

    Quite the opposite, really.

Randy Lerner doesn't know much about football.

But he also knows that he doesn't know much, and thus absolutely trusts MON's judgement.

Hasn't Lerner been a football fan (taking intrests in Arsenal, Villa and Fulham) since he was at Cambridge Uni in the early/mid-80's?

  3. Hey, I haven't really looked at this thread into too much depth but I thought I'd make a very short and sweet post.

Aren't all the mistakes listed in the poll made last season or in previous seasons? We're at the present and looking into a very bright future, why are we dwelling on past mistakes made by O'Neill?

  4. Not really, if you go around asking people who support different clubs asking the question "Which fans are worse, Villa or Birmingham fans?" I can assure the majority will say Birmingham. It's not bias, their fans have built up a Millwall-type of repuatation and they've got to live with it now.

The reason why all Noses are scum is because they're so bitter and twisted towards us and actually take 'pride' in their hooligan gang which is really quite sad. I hate that disgusting club and the sooner they go out of existence, the better... for the world.

  5. That's a fair point Kurt, but can you honestly see us making that disastrous mistake we made last season again this season? That's what it took for Everton to get near us last season... if they're to get near us again this season, it's going to take another 2-month **** up by us.

  6. Hey Chris... I know in the long-term Everton will be more of a 'threat' to us than small heath, but it depends how far you stretch the word 'threat'. Like me and you say, I do think Everton will come good eventually this season and will overtake small heath but like I said, will Everton be more of a threat only if they finish a few points ahead of small heath at the end of the season? Only because they finish above small heath doesn't really make them a threat to us if we're still in and around the mix come April time whilst they're dwindling around mid-table.

Right now, saying "don't write Everton off now" is the equivalent to saying "don't write off Liverpool winning the league now". Bottom line is Liverpool won't win the league because they're too far behind, are not being consistent and they're severely lacking confidence etc... It's exactly the same with Everton except they're down at the bottom, which is even more difficult for them so saying they'll be a threat to us for 4th place is just a bizarre frankly.

  7. Except a team that's in a relegation battle won't miraculously make a come back and be in contention for 4th place... it's just not gonna happen. The only reason they caught us level on points (but had better GD) last season was because we didn't win a game for 2 months whilst they went on a very good run - no way can the same thing happen this season and I can't see them finishing close to either Tottenham or Citeh... even if Spurs do implode.

Like I said, considering the awful start they've had this season (although getting good results against us, Spurs and Chelsea) I think they'll do well to finish in the top half, but if they don't sort themselves out very soon they'll have more concerning things to think about rather than catching us in the league.

I'm not being bias, and I do acknowledge anything can happen, but I'm just looking at it from a realistic point of view and unless we self-distruct going two months without a win whilst Everton go on a winning romp at the same time, I just can't see them getting close to us.

  8. Seriously, how are Everton more of a threat to us in the long-term? They're in a relegation fight right now (although I don't actually think they'll get relegated and they'll still probably finish above small heath) with lots of injury-ridden players and a manager who's under a lot of pressure right now. They'll do well to finish in the top half of the league... we'll be way ahead them (we already are).

  9. Wow I've just finished episode 9... the best yet so far!

    SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS

So, we've found out lots and lots about Arthur Mitchell and his family when Dexter goes for Thanksgiving... I didn't expect Dexter to flip so badly when he got Arthur in the kitchen with a knife... you'd normally expect Dexter to control his emotions better, but still, it's now revealed a lot as to what it's like inside the Mitchell family... very disturbing but the biggest shock of the epidsode came right at the very end! I couldn't believe it when Quinn's girlfriend (the journalist) opens the door see's Arthur standing there and says "Dad". I have a chilling feeling right now that it was her who shot Lundy and Debra. I can't wait for the next episode and methinks Arthur is gonna find out a bit more about Dexter now because he has a daughter that is dating Quinn!

  10. I managed to watch this on Football First and I was really impressed with out performance and even though Sunderland had a couple of good goal-scoring chances, once again, our defence was remarkable. Props to all of the back four, especially Dunney - he's such a legend.

Milner... **** hell, HE IS SUCH A SIK PLAYER. His goal against Hull was incredible... I thought it couldn't get better, but oh my, whatabuuuty from him tonight. World class goal from him and a lovely through ball for Heskey's goal too.

Tonight's game was always going to be difficult, Sunderland had only lost game at home this season and that was to Chelsea but our victory tonight has sent out a big message to the teams around us and this was also a type of game tonight to prove we are top 4 material, I think we've certainly showed that now and beating Stoke on Saturday is every bit as important as winning tonight if we want to start to make a getaway from the rest.
