You do know his (Griffin's) jaw was fully dislocated by that point though? And? People have fought with broken jaws before. Knocked out by a jab thrown by a guy going backwards

Knocked out by a flimsy jab
  4. Just as quick? He wasn't even quicker than Hatton, let alone Khan. Khan is one of the P4P fastest boxers in the world. He has such a good boxing brain that he allowed his trainer to teach him a style that was all wrong for him? Good one. Khan would beat Malignaggi with his jab, his jab is world class and would be the difference between them. It would also set up the flurries which would land with ease on Paulie. Probably the easiest fight for Khan out of any of the names at 140.
  5. What advantages does Malignaggi hold over Khan then? There are a few styles which will trouble Khan, a featherfist trying to fight in the pocket is not one of them.
  6. Don't be silly, Malignaggi will get beat by Diaz. But if by some miracle he wins, Khan would school him. Malignaggi ain't got the power to trouble Khan and Khan is a lot faster with a much better workrate, easy 120 - 108 win for Khan.
  7. Khan would beat Prescott now. He's learning how to fight behind a jab and keeps his hands up to protect himself. Prescott is very average.
  8. tell me of a better prospect then??? and in wales?? lol. A better prospect in world boxing? Rigondeaux, Jacobs, Ward, Alexander, Peterson, Korobov, Sutherland, DeGale, Saunders, Gavin, Lara etc etc Even Gamboa, Juanma, Berto, Linares, Khan if they still count as prospects.
  9. It will be anything but easy for him. It was piss easy for him :winkold: Won it behind his jab as I expected
  10. What belts? Prescott and Khan fought at 135. They're both going to 140 now, so either if there were important belts on the line, they're gone now.
  11. He'll have mandatories to take care of. And Maidana is his mandatory. So careful matchmaking is out of the question if he wants to keep his belt.
  12. Frank Warren's released some sparring... Khan looks shit there.
  13. Ortiz has no heart. And Khan ko'd him in the amateurs. I think Khan would take him.

He doesn't train in MMA, just fights in MMA. He hasn't bothered to learn anything about it.

Ray Mercer just KO'd former UFC champion Tim Sylvia in 9 seconds under MMA rules. So how is there no way it could happen?

I think Enzo Maccarinelli is talking about going to MMA in the future. Would be interesting to see whether he can make any waves. Alternatively Fedor victim Arlovski who was famed for his stand up skills is coming to boxing and working under Roach. Apparently he's really struggling. Can't see him getting very far with his china chin.

MMA fighters can't box anywhere near to the standard of a boxer though. They can't punch properly, they don't fight out of the correct stance, they pull back in straight lines. A world class MMA fighter would NEVER beat a world class boxer at boxing. A boxer could beat a world class MMA fighter in MMA, we've seen it in the last two weeks.

Thing is, a boxer would have a punchers chance in an MMA match. A UFC fighter would have NO CHANCE in a boxing match.

Well there's somebody here claiming Lesnar would beat Heavyweight champions in boxing matches, thought you might be agreeing. Anderson Silva's boxing match is on dailymotion, watch it, it's **** hilarious, he's shite, all arms and legs. I agree that Lesnar would beat them all in the octagon. Give a world class boxer and kickboxer like Vitali Klit some defence takedown training though and he'd have a chance.

Stand a chance in what? All the heavyweights would smash Lesnar in a boxing match. You ever seen Anderson Silva in a boxing match? He got beat by a journeyman. Particular highlight was when he tried the Ali shuffle and got smashed in the chin

Tim Sylvia's a stand up fighter who'd dominate most MMA fighters if they weren't allowed to go to the ground. He lasted 9 seconds with a boxing OAP when he tried the same. There's a difference between giving and taking a punch in MMA and giving and taking a punch in boxing. Lesnar would lose by early stoppage against any top 100 HW in boxing. He'd be badly, badly outskilled. MMA fighters don't throw real punches and they can't fight out of a proper boxing stance.

Beat them in a boxing match? Did you see what happened when an MMA fighter tried to stand up with Ray Mercer?
  23. How's it so called? You denying that he's fast?
  24. Who ya got and how? I think Khan UD. Should win it behind his jab. 117 - 111 sort of score, maybe closer.

UFC will go the same way as boxing eventually. It'll be a victim of it's own success, they'll start leaning towards padding records, big fights with much poorer fights on the undercard etc. Boxers are still the elite, incredibly skilled. You wouldn't get a WWE wrestler walk into boxing and win a title after 4 fights. UFC is boxing for dummies really.
