I think @Villaphan04 put something about Luis Alberto going to Lazio. That frees them up to let Ravel leave.... not what we wanted really but can be spectacular on his day.

After watching Gestede last season, he proved that he is NOT a PL player. He did however score goals in this division, when a team played to his strengths. Yesterday we did nothing for him. Hutton and Cissokho couldnt clear the first man, every time we got the ball in a position to cross it we passed it around. Id look at getting the issues sorted of creating chances, because even if we get RM or JK we will still struggle to create anything for them. Hopefully with Amavi back that creates something from the left, but we need more down the right. Hutton marauds forwards like a gazelle, but as soon as he gets into the final third he loses it all. Agree with others that a defensive mid is needed, not got a man to throw in a tackle or cut out the opponents chances, have lacked that for a long time now.

We need yo face facts now. Lambert played Bowery in the few games of the season, and has now sold him. Surely Grealish or Robinson would've been better off getting some experience. It wouldny surprise me if we see some of his other flops leave this summer, with us recouping next to nothing in fees for them. It's gone from young foreigners with no PL experience to old players who have been released by sides who finished around us in the table. I'm setting myself up for a horrendous season and another relegation battle, with us slipping out of the Prem for the first time ever. I've tried optimism and hope, but while the club is in this state we aren't going to progress

Dale Stephens off to Brighton, Delfouneso off to Cov on loan. Now Hutton sods off, we get a no10,in and all is good......fingers crossed

From the keepers I've seen is the fairest way to judge, Bosnich was brilliant, also had a fantastic defence whilst at the club. Number 2 on my list is Big Braddy F, great keeper after a few mediocre/bad keepers. Third on my list is a hard one, think Guzan would be a cert if he had the back 4 others have had, so I'm going with him as he's proved to be good in a poor side. Worst 3 for me are DJ, can't forgive him for FA Cup final mistake. Peter Shitmichael, just came to us and didn't do much. And thirdly, Gabor Kiraly, what a bell he looked in his trackky bottoms. Stefan Postma was the overall worst due to off the field issues. THAT VIDEO

I've only heard from a few peoples FB shares and in the pub old Fred mentioned something about Hutton going to West Ham, with us getting Nolan. That , to me doesn't sound likely. But, even if the Hutton to Hammers bit is right, I like this nonsense rumour

From what I've been reading on here it seems that people are saying our full backs can't defend. So, why not try them as wing back, playing Gabby up front with Benteke until we sign a no. 10 at least. Just think Lowtons delivery last season was great, set up so many chances, so why not give him a bit more freedom as a wing back. People seem to keep putting Albrighton in their 'dream' side at the end of January, and although he is playing ok at late, he hasn't progressed like we'd hoped since a bright first 18 months. Just think a back 3 with ML and either Bennett ( better going forward) or Luna LWB with Delph, Bacuna, Westwood at a midfield 3 with gabby and Cb up top could give us something to build on. Also think that formation gives us options in the bench and the chance to change things if needed. Gotta be worth a try at least, can't really do much worse than we already are.

What about Dorrans from Baggies? Has had some issues, but he's a good player, creative and clever when on form. Could probably pick I'm up for cheap, or even a loan deal. Better than what we've got at the minute I.e Tonev
