there is nothing worse than baddies who are motiveless. hopefully the series doesn't descend into a tiresome struggle between good and evil. fortunately, i don't think it will.

there hasn't been a decent antagonist since Tywin snuffed it.

Oh dear, Roy! Obviously it's easier to judge after the results tonight but England would have had a much easier route to the final if they won the group.

I think all those teams, bar Turkey, have the beating of Portugal on current form. They really haven't been that impressive but they do have the talent to get it right.

Turkey are winning 1-0 atm. Both teams look vulnerable and both need to win. Turkey need to get a bundle of goals to go through but the Czechs just need a win. Czech need to sort their midfield out because they are being exposed too often. Turkey need to stop fouling. Emre Mor looks a player.

Turkey v Czech game has been threatening to boil over. Think the second half could be thrilling if Turkey just go for it, as they must.

Yep, there is a wee slider in the gameplay menu that lets you adjust the difficulty - at least on PC but I don't see why it would be different on console.

Didn't enjoy The Lobster. The pacing was glacial and it wasn't helped by the deadpan delivery of every single line. Some good ideas but that's about it really.

Yep. I've put 50+ hours in so far and a good amount of that is Gwent related... I've started to steamroll enemies so I may up the Gwent difficulty.

The standalone looks great too, and they've tweaked it enough to make it a viable multiplayer game.

I want it 'in real life' though, but I'm not sure how realistic that would be as the game's pace is part of its appeal and a lot of that comes down to the computer doing the maths and such.

Apparently Elder Scrolls VI is a long way off. Sounds like they want to build a new engine for it. About time really.

I would also suggest that teams sit back and defend knowing that England won't do much damage and will always give them a chance to score on the counter (or through a mistake).

England should get through the next round if they avoid Portugal (who will defend and counter) and I think they have a chance against France who have scraped by so far (but do have home advantage) because the French will attack and their ageing fullbacks will leave space for England's very good counter-attacking players.

Portugal may put them out as Ronaldo would have a field day against England's attacking full-backs but anyone else England should beat comfortably.

Yeah the breathing scene was tough to watch and very well done but overall the episode was cliche upon cliche and a bit boring tbh.

Hopefully next week's long episode has some surprises up its sleeve, which it should now that a number of plots have been neatly tied up.
