It does seem quite an open tournament, with each team having clear strengths and weaknesses. I'm hoping we have a surprise winner this year (England perhaps )

It has long been a referendum on immigration, which is why all the doom mongering about the economy has little to no impact on the Leave voters. Frankly, the British guvmint and 'political class' are reaping what they have sown over the years. What did they expect after decades of negative representation of immigrants? For too many people the answer is simple: EU = immigration, so no EU = no immigration. It is complete cobblers but it is simple and effective and plays into ugly nativism of a large percentage of the British public. Leave will win and while I do think many are voting against the establishment for the sake of it, there is a large and frankly very vocal bloc of people that are voting against immigration & the language they use is very, very troubling.

Portugal have been pretty unlikable for as long as I can remember, but they do seem to piss off the English so that's alright

Hungary deserve it. Austria disappointing.

I want this Zelda game and I want it now.

Good goal.

Not a great game this. Austria have more quality but look vulnerable. Could do with a goal before half-time.

'Nothing to do' may be stretching it a little

Portugal squad looks OK apart from their ancient defence. Any pace in the opposition will undo them. Ronaldo on form gives them a chance against anyone.

God of War, Mass Effect, Dishonored 2, We Happy Few and this stand out..

I think this season as a whole has been a lot stronger than 4 & 5, but they've streamlined the show so much that only a few characters/plots matters at this stage which leaves a lot of filler. It also doesn't help that each season has the same structure and it's all a bit predictable. That would be less of a problem if the writing was consistently strong, which it isn't really. It is a show that relies too much on shock and spectacle rather than strong character development or plots that are well thought out and enjoyable to watch unfold. So, for all the good stuff this season, we've effectively spent 8 weeks waiting for two big events that have been obvious for a while.

Technically it's two seasons left but it is effectively one season split into two halves, like they did with Mad Men. It'll be seven episodes per half.

I think Origi is OK. Having a Liverpool supporting brother means I've seen him play a few times and toward the end of the season he was much improved and scored a few crackers. He suits the Belgian system better because he makes good runs and opens space for their attacking midfielders. Benteke is better playing with his back to goal but that will only mean that Belgium's play will remain ponderous and in front of the defence. Lukaku should be the right fit but, as Henry mentioned, his runs just aren't clever enough.

England have yet to figure out their first XI, which isn't good when you've had a whole qualification process to sort it out. Wales are settled and have the best player. I think that will become apparent during the match, but the result really depends on the team England puts out. If they find a good balance then they should win because they have a better squad, but it will be close.
If I was Engerland I'd go for
Hart
Walker
Smalling
Cahill
RoseDier
Henderson
Alli
SterlingKane
Vardywith a midfield diamond, sterling at the tip.

Things about to get interesting...

I stick to my prediction that the English will vote Leave and the rest of us will vote Remain, leading to a Leave win and a lot of bitterness.

Pretty obvious how this battle will play out.
Snow's lot get off to a good start, but Ramsay's superior numbers soon tell. Things look desperate, then Littlefinger turns up with his lot. Ramsay retreats and probably takes Rickon hostage before the inevitable boss battle between the two bastards. I hope Sansa kills Ramsay in the end, but I'm not sure how we get to that point.
Season finale, I think, will be: Arya on a boat, Dany killing slavers and getting boats from Yara and Theon, Tyrion in trouble for playing Westerosi politics, Sam in Old Town, and it will end with Bran at the Wall or near the Wall.
I'm not sure if Cersei's wildfire plot will come to fruition, but I hope it does.

Seems the shooter was a regular at the nightclub and had a profile on a gay dating app. Paints the picture of an individual who was violent and sexually repressed, and who for whatever reason self-radicalised. It isn't unknown for homophobes to be sexually repressed, so the jump between being that kind of guy to being a killing fifty people kind of guy is what needs to be understood. I certainly don't think this was a straight-forward Isis attack, and certainly not the kind that the media seems to be telling (and many on here seem convinced of). He seems to have affiliated himself with all sorts of extremists over the years, leading to FBI investigations which proved inconclusive because, it seems, he was a loose canon rather than a signed up member with connections. It seems as if the Isis ideology inspired him to act, but as he wasn't 'directed externally' then the exact cause (or 'what caused him to snap') remains a mystery, although his violent nature suggests it may not have taken much.

Italy too smart. Belgium lack cohesion.
-
Italy look well drilled and may go far with that well balanced system, but their lack of creative spark will probably undo them.
Belgium are far, far too slow and don't have enough discipline in attack and defence. I'd bring Dembele on.

Just give us a new one.

I disagree entirely. Writing is an art and authors are free to make any stylistic choices they want. I only ask that they are consistent and McCarthy is so that is fair enough in my book.

Hendrick did do well. Wouldn't mind him in a Villa shirt.

Typical Villa.

Ronaldo looked a bit tired to me, which is understandable given his age and there not being a huge break between the end of the season and the start of the Euros.
