  1. Im voting stay - because of what happens to clubs that change manager mid season. But if results don't improve I think he will resign no more than 10 games in.

Mixed bag on that look at spuds last year, they looked dead and buried until bagpuss turned them around.

  2. For me the main defensive problem is that there are 3 defenders out of the 4 attempting to do their jobs. Shorey is possibly the worst LB we have had for some time. Defensively he is shit and he was going forward losing the ball and constantly getting caught out of position. This meant Davies was moving out to the left to cover and this stretched our whole defense. MON already knew Shorey wasn't up to it and what has he done, diddly squat as per usual!!

So the negatives will always be on top, you don't see the happy ones.

I thought the happy happy ones were the 'MON knows best' contingent??

I myself would put myself in the 'MON know best contingent' - at least till he's had a chance to prove otherwise this window.

Just think that a manager should be judged on what is required of him at the time.

Off the pitch, in the transfer window, he's required to improve the squad.

On the pitch he's required to get the team to perform.

Well he achieved both last season for me, so yes, I'm happy till he proves me otherwise.

Just like it's possible for a player to improve, it's also possible for a manager to improve. If MON made mistakes last year, i reckon he's smart enough to learn from them. IMO of course.

I am still to be convinced by MON, he's still an enigma in my books and I wonder if he flatters to decieve.

But I am glad you're happy FM!

  4. For me, it feels like we have been spun some very slick Marketing / PR - but I think the value of that may have just ran out.

Off the pitch we have improved everywhere.

On the pitch, it really doesn't feel too different to the pre-Randy days, circa 1982 - 2006.

As its results on the pitch that win you things, I have to vote 'Not Happy'

Mostly agree with this as am starting to doubt MON's ability to push us to the next level. Progressing slowly is no longer an option in the current climate. Hopefully MON will make us all happy with a series of masterstroke signings but I am not holding my breath.

we have that player in Barry, the player that currently plays that role for OUR national side. If he's good enough to do it for England then he's sure as **** good enough to do it for us

If you think Barry is that sort of player I really wonder if you've seen him play at all. He doesn't do it for England, and he doesn't do it for us.

Plays a quite different role for England alongside either Lampard or Gerrard and compliments those players and generally plays well and is an obvious favorite for Capello. As we know here he plays alongside Petrov, NRC, Sidwell, Gardner or Salifou and has been our most consistant player over the past three years. We will miss him and I would rather Petrov left and we partnered Barry with a better quality player but that looks unlikely.
