Oh sure. It's on the outskirts with dual carriageway roads spreading out in all directions. Hardly any traffic at all round Stretford.

    It's 2.4 miles from St Peter's Square.

Villa Park is 3.6 miles away from Victoria Square with a motorway immediately adjacent.  It's almost rural compared to Old Trafford.

The transport argument is complete nonsense.

Ah, the good old days when there was a not for profit bus service, football special trains and less than one car per adult parked outside all the houses.

I dont get how people cant comprehend theres more traffic now 😂

It sounds like it is may be down to the transport and parking issues and getting those sorted first before adding 10k extra people with no reasonable way to get home or park.

If so, then it is understandable but also disappointing.

Absolutely. Birmingham council are bankrupt and the tories are **** next year.

I’d assume all infrastructure upgrades are canned and if thats the case, we really cant add 10,000 seats.

For things you wonder about, but how is it that a 60 million nation with a clear link to Europe doesn't have access to cranes is almost beyond me.

Can't you just call "Big French Cranes Company LTD" and use those?

Kind of a weird topic I've been thinking about a lot this autumn into winter, although I don't really have a name for it: How do we keep up with Villa's improvements, as supporters?

I was saying to a mate the other day that I wasn't sure Villa supporters have really "kept up" with the team's successes. I may be speaking mostly for myself, I realise. But I've wonderecd whether there are some aspects of my usual Villa fan attitudes that I'm starting to question more.

An example would be the knee-jerk negativity, thinking, "Oh, classic Villa." It doesn't really make sense any more. I haven't always been that way with Villa, but I'm so used to waiting for the other shoe to drop before and during matches, I think I need to re-evaluate myself a bit.

Do you think Villa fans need to grow, too? Do we have a responsibility to mature and embrace change right along with our squad?

I’d point out that VT in general is a very negative place compared to the real world. Assume seeing your location you’ve not been to a game?

Cant tell you the amount of times ive taken breaks from using VT as the match threads and individual player threads are so unnecessarily doom mongering.

Its a great resource for all thing villa, but its absolutely not a representation of villa park. Waaaay more knee jerk.

To no surprise, he was done for by a strong striker - the type of player we already predicted he would struggle against.

    Next up - Haaland....

One where we’ll miss mings physicality. He had him in his pocket.

Get rid of humans in the process. Pure rules based decisions done by a machine.

With all the mistakes and uncertainty and time we wait for VAR to make decisions sometimes still incorrectly. I really think they should just let AI run it and the ref is AI’s mouth piece on the field.
Decisions be 100% correct within seconds.

  8. Amazing record, but pretty shite atmosphere for whatever reason.

Spurs and Newcastle at home are totally different. Cant figure out why, sunday games are shite for atmos generally.

    But its a shame.

No villa fans wants them in PL

Ill happily never play them again in my lifetime and let them rot in the lower leagues

Used to say this to my best mate all the time when we were getting into about footy but u genuinely take it back.

We dont have any rivals in the league, i want a spicy game now and then. i miss it.

Thought the atmosphere was good yesterday, it was loud in the Holte End for the majority of the game.

Wish they would stop playing the music though, the one that annoys me the most is straight after the final whistle when the players come over. Leave the music off and let the fans celebrate with the players.

Biggest travesty of the play off final that.
Pumping out absolute shite as the players ran about and fans were celebrating. Really killed the biggest moment in our recent history.

I don’t have anything against him at all. He’s just hilariously Partridge-y in just about everything he does, which is endearing more than anything.

He’s pure partridge ent he 😂

That’s one of my opinions too. We were just so expectant today and probably didn’t feel the need to get up for it ourselves. It was easy today. I actually thought during the game if our atmosphere would get worse if we got into top 4 which is madness really. Sunday games can be a bit dull as well .

All games being Sundays defo a thing too, less people on the piss.

Looking at the footage of spurs ground after games with jealousy at moment, it’s bouncing
