  1. Think most of us are on the same page with Bacuna which is quite rare on this forum!

He's an enigma alright. One minute he can go from misplacing passes and barely being able to control a football and then the next minute, he'll do something that has a real impact in the game, be it a good cross, set piece or goal.

I still think his best position is RWB when we play 3-5-2 as he has a bit more defensive cover and more space to join the attack but quite happy seeing him as a RM or right sided forward. He might be worth trying on the left a bit more though after the goal at the weekend

For the impact he's made and for the peanuts we paid for him, he's been a very handy acquisition

  2. Good post. I think we've got several issues at the moment.

    - Lack of movement from the front players ( particularly Benteke and Gabby )

    - Slow build up play, allows opposition to get back into defensive shape

    - Lack of players willing to run at players and open up space ( Gil and Sinclair should help )

With regards to the midfield, When was the last time you saw one of our midfield run beyond the striker or really get into the box and try and make something happen ? I honestly can't remember seeing any of our midfielders doing that this season. For all his faults, at least this was something KEA tried !

There just seems to be a compete lack of fluidity at the moment and everyone is just stuck to their position and therefore easier to mark.

Whilst I admire the fact were trying to play a more possession based game, i think we need to try and mix it up a lot more

  3. If we're looking at attacking players to loan from overseas, I think Josip Illcic would be a good shout. Not getting much of a look in at Fiorentina but was pretty good at Palermo and is apparently available for loan. 6ft3 and has got a sweet left foot. Apparently Leeds were looking at getting him on loan so not sure why we couldn't get him

  4. I really want us to sign Alli. He's arguably the best player in League 1 already at only 18 years old which is quite an achievement in itself and he's got the physical attributes to be able to look after himself too ( 6"2 I think ).

I would hope that we could sway him to come here as we are closer to his home in MK plus we have a better record of bringing through young players from lower leagues as well ( Westwood, Delph, Lowton etc )

£5m is not a lot in today's market for a player of his potential

  5. The MK Dons manager has said they would be open to offers but would like Dele Alli loaned back for the rest of the season. That could suit us and he could take Cleverleys place in the squad next season.

Quoted fee is £4m. I definitely think we should be looking at him for that price, he's only 18, has bags of potential and is already one of the best players in his league ( if not the best ) . No brainer for me!

  6. My mate has won £2816 off a £5 treble on the baggies, palace and leicester today. Lucky bastard!

Couldn't have been over 500/1 for that treble could it?

My bad. He posted a picture of his betting slip and it was actually both teams to score plus those 3 teams to win. Belting payout off a fiver!

  7. I play on world class with the sliders adjusted a little bit and I'm 8 points clear at the top of the league with Villa, may have to go up to legendary.

The trick for me is use your midfielders or even forwards to do all the tackling until the opposition get to the edge of your box and then use your defenders.

I play 4-1-2-1-2 formation with 1 CDM, 2 box to box midfielders, 1 CAM and 2 strikers. Oddly enough but since I started using "ultra attacking" tactic, I seem to concede less ?

Having a really fun career mode with villa, Sold Gabby for £20m and Benteke for £28m, brought a load of players and then sold Serge Aurier who Man City then brought off me for £46.5m! Most I've spent on a player is £14m on Perreyra from Udinese but mainly been around £5-£10m mark with a few £2m bargains

    My team:

    Guzan

    Montoya

    Ogbonna

    Schaar

    Gaya

    Malanda (RIP)

    Delph

    Perreya

    Morralez

    Ings

    Babacar

    Bench:

    Okore

    D Suarez

    Musa

    Dybala

    Vilhenna

    Poulsen

    Sanchez

    Joel Campell

    Wellington Nem

  8. Can't see anything in the Gomis link and don't think Gignac would come here personally. Dimitri Cavare link sounds interesting though, according to various sources I've seen he's 1.95m tall which is about 6ft5 and pretty **** tall for a right back! Looks like he's been a pretty regular starter for them as well which isn't bad for a 19 year old
