Was browsing Reddit over the weekend and saw a thread where a mum had been asked by their child to destroy every photo of them before they'd transitioned as they were painful reminders. An added complexity in this was that some of them contained pictures of the father who is now deceased.
It's a side that I hadn't even considered as I'd always seen it as something going forwards in time and not reaching back. Whilst I hope that I would support my son if he ever went through this (it's their life to do so as they wish), I'm not sure how I'd feel getting rid of 20 odd years worth of family photo's to try and support.
It'd be like getting rid of 20 year's of my own life and my own history. Photo's and videos of our family holidays are some of my most precious items and memories.
Would have to hope that some sort of compromise could be reached.
Had a chat to a transgender lady at work a few months back. Basically that person is dead to them. Asking questions like "what was your name before?" Should not be asked etc.
But asking to destroy family photos is quite an extreme and agree you'd hope a compromise would be possible

There was footage of her and William at a farm shop over the weekend on the news last night so it seems like the fun is over.
Have you seen this supposed footage? It's not even her! It's just made the whole thing even weirder

while i agree in principle, Antonio literally headed the ball 1 foot off the ground today for their goal.
I agree we have a height/physical issue defending set pieces, but it also a tactical issue i think.
that wasn't from a set piece?

not giving away stupid free kicks in dangerous areas would be a start

My god I'm happy I didn't free hit. Obviously if you barely had players you had to use it by wow has it not paid off today.
Barely been hurt by it at all. Feeling good.
yeah i really had no choice. still got 4 players to play though which is exactly how many i'd have had if i hadn't FH'ted

The no free hitters are winning at the moment
they absolutely are now

it was a flip of a coin decision for me between elanga and fofana as to who starts and who's 1st bench. i chose wrong.
-
did a free hit. basically only points that are going to count for anything are porro, flekken, bailey, elanga and digne.
the rest of the team is just total template
edit: the regulon red card is handy though. he's quite highly owned
edit edit: i just saw on twitter that regulon continues to get minus points for goals conceded. is that true? i get being sent off indirectly contributes to goals conceded but seems unfair. not complaining obviously

i did half stakes all week which was just as well. was even until today then it all went wrong. not a big loss though all in all

Oof - I think that's probably the toughest path available to us isn't it?
swap olimpiakos for fiorentina maybe but pretty much yes

plzsen, then the winner of PAOK vs brugge please
that would be the perfect draw
-
plzen, PAOK, or brugge please
fiorentina should be beatable, just would be worried about going there and getting stabbed
lille or fenerbahce (and maybe olympiakos) are the only ones that really worry me

I think there’s a template, but if you can get to 8 or 9 without the free hit then it’s not worth free hitting, imo. Especially if that 8 or 9 includes the few big hitters that are playing (son, Watkins, Bowen for example)
It’s going to be a low scoring week, so an extra 2 or 3 players, probably Luton defenders or something, aren’t going to make much difference.
But having a free hit for GW34 or 37 could be massive
oh definitely if you can get 8 without a FH then it's not worth it
i had 4 players though...so don't really have a choice!

Hoping that saving the free hit this week will pay off long term
i wondered this. especially with it being a tough week to predict. it's not like liverpool are at home to burnley or something. i'm still activating mine, but it's not a clear template

small red arrow. got away with it as didn't have solanke. captained zabarnyi which helped

Nah that's fine, probably a more appropiate thread.
I still haven't got round to reporting it to be honest, but I will do. The only thing I could fine was that number to text but I think that might be for during the game, which is when I probably should have done it.
sounds like he's a season ticket holder if he's there every week so should be an easy one to identify. prooblem is that without making a visual gesture, it would be difficult to prove unless villa can strategically place a steward or club official near him in future

decided to start a new game. need a challenge having won 7 PLs in a row with villa which is possible to do with any PL side due to the finances involved once you've got a settled side, good prospects etc.
one thought was to take a struggling english team up to the PL but i'm going to find myself in the same boat once i get there so i've decided to give this "grow a nation" thing a go. wondered about scotland but think the scottish league's reputation is already too good and i'm not even going to bother with something like a san marino etc because i don't have the energy
i've decided on latvia, taking control of Riga (went there on a stag once...nice city). seems like it's somewhere between scotland and san marino in terms of reputation. wish me luck
