It's clear the media want to ignore us after yesterday, I say:

Just ignore it.  We have our own game to play and as long as we win it, **** the usual media rocket polishers. 5 finals left. The coaches and players know what history is in front of them against the odds they fought all season. After yesterday even I wouldn't bet against them☝️

    On to Thursday 😃

people need to understand, it's not the media ignoring us, it's just simply that focusing on the likes of arsenal gives them more views, retweets, comments and likes.

teams like arsenal, spurs and utd have massive global fanbases and their fans will do all of the above on the various clips talking about their team. you don't get a 10th of the numbers if all their coverage is about how good villa were. it's simple business, that's all. people need to stop taking it to heart.

Dare I say we looked better without Luiz

i love him. he's been fantastic. but today wouldn't have suited him. he slows play down a lot (which often we want, especially at home), but today arsenal really struggled with our quick transitions. i don't think that necessarily woud've happened had he been on the pitch

But Big Trev and his wife Susan want us to get rid of it! They nearly scored from it!

god it still winds me up when still, even now, however many games we play where people see it works, you still get shouts of "stop pissing about at the back and get it away!!!"

  4. anyone else at the game will hopefully back me up. i've not seen scenes like that since the 3-1 vs sheffield wed in the 10 game run. we've had other amazing other away results since but it was absolute pandamonium today.

what a performance, to a man. every single player was 8/10 or better. players who have been criticised at various points during the season like carlos and diaby did brilliantly. brentford was disappointing but we're right back on track.

**** 5th. **** coefficients. **** having to cheer for 115 charge facing city winning the CL. i want 4th and i think we can get it wrapped up before the last game so can just go to palace and have a massive party

Can't remember the last time I saw Diego play well unfortunately.

    He was cack last night.

definitely seems to be the weak link at the moment. we played better when lenglet was alongside pau

Decided to play the Wildcard this week. Will FH next week (GW34) and BB in GW 37.

Had the team set and now Foden got himself injured so I think he might be rested against Luton which throws my plans into a bit of turmoil... Currently have Garnacho, Foden and Haaland but now thinking of going Fernandes, KDB and Alvarez but I am terrified of not owning Haaland as he can just go off in a heartbeat.

predicting the city team is going to be a difficult one this week. their B team can easily beat luton. captaincy currently on haaland as i think everyone will. KDB didn't play midweek so expect him to start. foden might well be rested but the good thing is that pep doesn't make a lot of subs so there's a good chance if foden doesn't start he might not even come on

What is the correct proportion of items on a good Full English?

How many sausage/bacon/egg/hash browns and that?

I'd always rather have more bacon than sausage (ooer), but I do like an extra hash brown. And, it has to be the correct balance of wet and dry together. Not too much beans, egg, sloppy toms, but not too dry.

I don't think people consider this enough.

3 rashers, 2 sausages, 2 hashy b's, 1 egg, ramekin of beans, ramekin of tomatoes, maybe a touch more, and then two portions of some kind of bread (toast, fried, or just bread). That's me.

So 3:2:2:1:1:1:2 for the bacon/sausage/hb/egg/beans/toms/bread (don't do mushrooms, so add a zero to the end for the mouldy devil lumps)

thinking about my typical order if i do a premier inn breakfast, i think mine is along the lines of:

3 saus, 3 bacon, 2 egg (fried), 2 hash brown, black pudding, beans, toast. none of this mushroom or tomato nonsense. and fried bread is never any good unless you do it yourself so i tend not to order it.

Ollie will be 29 next season has a contract with us until he's 32 and he's in his prime, can't see anyone paying the money we'd want for him.

As crazy as it sounds though, depending on FFP if we were offered 100m+ I'd consider it, if it meant we had room to buy 3/4 top top level players to take us on another level. Spurs have sold Bale and Kane and still pushed on.

Unai also has a history of getting goals from his number 9s everywhere he goes.

Can't see us selling anyway and Ollie has been brilliant for us and would be difficult to replace.

i think if we were offered 100m+ for any player we'd have to consider it. it's the sort of money we simply cannot turn down. we can't replace him with that money, but we could sign 2 very, very good players for that. but we're not getting that...we only got that for grealish becuase of the clause. if that wasn't in place city would've **** about with add ons and probably got him for 80m

we could get toney for 50/60m for a start. not as good as ollie, but at least it's guaranteed goals in this league

The word is completely losing meaning. What part of that is woke? :D

Not being a fat word removed = woke

it's not. but that word is a trigger for a certain demographic and gets them frothing at the mouth. so they comment, retweet etc with their ramblings about how they hate all this woke rubbish. they don't even read the article within the headline but just the sight of the word gets them riled up

the media companies chuck the word 'woke' into headlines sporadically to create engagements to their articles. it's very deliberate. and the anti-woke fall for it every time

yeah to be fair they're easy to keep sweet with the "i'll sell you if a bid for £x is received" as teams so seldom match that figure.

the academy is a problem. i'm getting no decent players coming through but the board are "devastated" at me not meeting the goal of giving youth team players opportunities whilst rejecting any proposal of mine to invest in the youth academy so even though i've taking zilina to the CL playoff round last 3 seasons i'm still only rated a B.

south america is indeed where it's at, but slovakia has the "no more than 5 non eu players in a matchday squad" rule so can't go too crazy with signings from there. i keep forgetting that also applies to UK players (thanks brexit :()

the coefficient is a 5 year rolling thing i think so i should see some improvements next season. as things stand i'm still having to play the qualifier and playoff before the CL league stage

the league is getting there. new tv deal so prize money slightly increased, i now go straight into the league phase of the CL, and i'm getting more money for players (plus some sell on clauses have come in too on other players i've previously sold).

i still don't play the league games...funny story though, because i holiday through all the league games, my assistant won the manager of the year

I haven't played a Football Manager game for almost 20 years. I'm considering getting back into it. I found the training elements became a bit involved. My favourite part of CM was playing Stan Collymore until he wasn't depressed anymore, so I'm probably not a purist. Any recommendations on how best to get back into it without being overwhelmed by all the changes

i never touch the training. so much can be delegated to various staff and it's very customizable in terms of what you take control of yourself and what you delegate.

maybe it's because i've played it for years, but i imagine a lot is fairly self explanatory but you can turn a tutorial mode on so that as and when you get a new screen/event that you've not seen before, it talks you through it. and there's always google (or villatalk) if something happens that you don't understand

  12. took a hit to bring in sarabia, ait nori and solanke so fairly happy with my GW score of 83, rank c.42k

pretty pleased to have held on to de bruyne and ollie when everyone else seemed to sell them.

rolling transfer this week, dead ending into 34, WC 35. think the GW 37 bench boost is going to end up being quite underwhelming though
